Did not enjoy this trip wire over the Milwaukee bike lane this morning. Driver pretended i wasn't talking to him when i asked him to move it. An alley 2 storefronts down, and right near the side street. @BlankenshipMove , please ask your drivers to be safer! cc @bikelaneuprise

it’s a tossup whether Vallas would have been better than Johnson at this point. Vallas is clearly a worse person, but things could hardly be worse than hundreds of people sleeping in the cold while an expensive tent is built on polluted land after months of squandered time.

@40thforward @UrbanEnviroIL More, what we need is city-wide housing+parking reform, so every small step of improving housing doesn't require its own massive mobilization Folks with 500k+ homes will always have more resources than those struggling to find a home in the first place. We need city wide reform

On the one hand, it’s kinda a bummer that chicago seems to only be able to significantly build in one part of the city On the other hand, there is something hopeful that chicago builds more housing in w loop in a month than all SF (where I lived before) builds in a year

Semi-trucks have no business being on city streets. In IL, we’re required to accommodate 65-foot trucks. Help make intersections safer for people across Illinois by sending a quick email to your state senator before tomorrow's vote on SB2278:

on one hand I understand the situation; NIMBYs are extremely loud and selfish, and at some point you gotta vote count. But on the other hand, that same problem causes systemic housing problems. The solution is to end aldermanic prerogative. @40thforward , join us in this goal!
