Google Maps is now measuring the length of bikeway types you'll experience on your route somewhere. (It didn't show for me, this was sent by a friend.) I can see this used for advocacy: "Hi City Councilor, I'm trying to bike with my child to school but it's 56% unprotected."

Using 1.5 calories of energy a person walks 25 meters or bikes 50 meters. A Prius can go 4 meters while an e-bike can go 127 meters. This is a compelling visual, and I would love to see some additional validation of this.
