Less than 2.5 hours of exposure while wearing an N99 was enough for my partner to be infected by super transmissible Omicron. Public Health turned Politicians have left us on our own & there is no magic bullet. Individuals can only mitigate a moderate amount of risk.

My mom was in for a minor pelvic fracture & was given a Hospital-Acquired COVID Infection by #BonnieHenry Policy on 03/04/2023. She was denied #PaxlovidBC . Mask mandates were removed 06/04. She went into palliative care on 20/04 & died 29/04/23. It's #LifeAndDeath w/ #DixAndHenry

COVID is spreading like wildfire in parts of Vancouver Island. If you're on the island, minimize time indoors sharing re-breathed air, wear an N99 mask (or an N95 at a minimum), check your air quality & ventilate, & make sure you have lots of RATs & HEPA/C-R filtration on hand.

@KashPrime You're correct, Kashif. The CO2 levels in the room were usually about 900-1000 ppm without doctors, nurses etc milling about. With the window open, it could be brought down to 800. When it was busy in the double room, it easily hit 1200 ppm and took ages to come down.

These PC fan Corsi-Rosenthal Boxes each use a HEPA filter & 2x Arctic P12 fans. One’s running on a power pack & the other’s plugged in. They aren’t pretty but are nearly silent. They just need a sleeve & top. I threw them together in 45 minutes this afternoon for a family dinner.
