This comes after the workers discovered that adequate translation services weren't being provided to workers for their employment resources-- HR issues, healthcare resources... They saw eachother's plight and built it into the movement to build a union for all KCVG workers. ✊✊

It seems obvious to me at this point that what we will see quite soon, is it is materially impossible for restaurant industry workers to support themselves with dine-in service limited in the ways it is necessary to keep patrons and themselves safe. (1/9 I rant about restaurants)

For context, Norfolk Southern used $10 billion of it's profits for stock buybacks instead of paying their safety inspectors more but can only shell out 25k for a city whose air, land, water, and fauna will be devastated for years to come due to their negligence.

Absolutely important article with thorough info. Some highlights: Local police are ignoring the MANY decrim laws around the state bc they can without pushback. Black residents make up 32% of these arrests and are **3.5x more likely** to be arrested than their white neighbors.

We have received multiple calls today regarding Palestinian nationals detained by ICE, and/or visited by the FBI. The FBI has also visited multiple mosques today, in different states, as well as Arab inmates. This is a troubling trend.
