The church I’m part of meets in a rented school hall. We haven’t met as a whole body since March. I haven’t taken communion since February. And while I’m sad about both of those things they are not persecution. The church is not a building. Buildings are a privilege.

Two initial thoughts on the RZ report. 1) ‘father figure’ and ‘spiritual father’ seem to be elastic terms very open to abuse. 2) sending away critics/silencing questioners is a big red flag. Our organizations must have space for the awkward questions - even unthinkable ones
