@RespectfulMemes Natural or not is absolutely an irrelevant metric. Lots of natural things in nature are unwelcome in human society, and lots of human elements are rejected by nature. Homosexuality should be accepted with open arms because we’re a human society and we are built on empathy.

@fawfulfan When I was a kid, the milkman used to come to our house with the cow and get us fresh milk (and secretly dilute it a little but we let it slide). Always, always boiled it decently before consuming. Strong gut to dairy, tasted nice, but wouldn't do it again today.

Is quality of education at IIT falling drastically? A bunch of IITians I see on Twitter are almost ridiculously underperforming. Great at posturing, but no real work. I remember IITians being really smart, and old IITians are still incredibly charismatic and great to talk to.

Ridge the Es, so when an e appears, you say the word faster. The idea in general is to speak in a more closed manner.

@manicrapture My dad works on similar ships. India's and SL's passport is weak so USA feels comfortable leaving them on board. If these were West European country, everyone would have their pitchforks up against the shipping company and not the crew, and they would be comfortably home.

There's a certain dogma that certain Indians hold, especially younger, softer Indians from privileged backgrounds that this is menial hard labor, essentially because they aren't used to hard work - they do the easier courses, lie thru things, use jugaad etc.

I don't understand why people in India join huge corpos like Deloitte, ZS etc - the salary is low enough that it won't change your family status, you're working 15-16 hour shifts, and it's not even experience that'll help you stand out. If anything, you're ruining your career.
