Dear

As a pulmonologist, it is alarming to me to see your video showing people instilling oils in their nostrils with droppers.
I don't have a problem with dietary advice.

@taapsee
apologies 😔
If this is how male doctors see their female colleagues or juniors, what hope do we have left from anyone else?
Maybe it was funny in the movie, but it certainly isn't a funny/tasteful meme.

I've had patients ask me my caste in the first few sentences of a consultation. I live in a 'cosmopolitan' city ,so these questions have come from people from different backgrounds, mostly well-to-do folks.
Sometimes i ignore it, other times I ask why they want to know. Ughhh🙄
Lipoid pneumonias due to erroneous practices of oil instillation ,oil pulling leading to aspiration of oils into the lungs have been well documented for decades
Please revise your video to prevent harm to those who follow your advice with faith.

Completely understand how upset you must feel. Love your husband's response. And what you said about your own response of getting guilty for a bit, that's so honest of you to share how deep conditioning is within each of us. You've got one lucky baby with such thoughtful parents

This💯.
A doctor's consultation is not always about a prescription or injekshun.
Having a chat with a patient- family, help them understand their condition& use non-pharmacological means for that which does not need polypharmacy , that's what those years of med school are about

Adding insult to injury. Victim blaming😡A complete lack of empathy for the suffering thousands. As if their low O2 saturation & respiratory distress could be alleviated by yoga & breathing right.
I cannot imagine my yoga teacher ever peddling such lies.

I wonder about all the people who have been wearing masks, doing heavy work- firefighters, painters, cement/ chemical factory workers- not just health care workers. Their lung function is measured by OSHA regularly. Do u wonder why they've never had any lung issues with masks?

Hmmm, historically, family name being the man's is because the mother is known ( obviously) & the father is the one the mom names as the father. It devolved into patriarchy later. That's in addition to all the matrilineal cultures that negate ur narrow vision of HIStory
Angry, sad & distressed at the way this horrible practice of ragging/ hazing continues in medical colleges.
The college principal's statement reeks of apathy😢.Which students voluntarily tonsure themselves joining MBBS?

Time-honoured, but sadly not the best either for patient or the resident doctor.
Nobility, sacrifice, hero-god-tags have been ways of refusing to address reform, which requires a much larger overhaul that would require a lot more public spending on health care & med education
