Reminded a non medical staff to not walk in my opd without knocking or checking with me if I am free to talk, even when the patient I was seeing has just walked out of the door! Wish I had done this earlier! Drawing #boundaries is important, empowering & necessary.

@SonaliVaid Maybe that’s the case in US but not in India. The doctor patient Relationship is India is too sacrosanct and I have never ever seen any doctor give inferior care because of the caste, creed, region or gender of the patient. I hope it stays that way in the future too!

The most disappointing and funny part about mental health is that patients of mental health disorders are the only ones who contribute the most towards Mental health awareness. Shouldn’t it be the other way? Speaks volumes about the stigma! #MentalHealthAwareness
