How about advocates?
How do the top 98 advocates in the country compare with the bottom 500,000?
At least the top businesses create job opportunities. What do you do, sir?
RICHEST 98 INDIANS OWN SAME WEALTH AS THE BOTTOM 55.2 CRORE PEOPLE!
India Added 40 Billionaires Last Year But Number of Poor Doubled.
The level of inequality is such that the wealth of India's 10 richest is enough to fund the school, higher education of every child for 25 years!
Every year for the last decade, I received mangoes as gift from a patient from Kolar. Late last year, unfortunately we lost him to progressive illness.
Yesterday a basket of these arrived. A reminder that an unsaid bond develops with families that is beyond the transactional.
You forgot that Bangalore wins because of the warmth of Kannadigas, who welcome all, including those who turn out to be boors, whiners, language-fanatics & paan-spitters
Bangalore is the worst city in the world: 10-month deposits, horrible traffic, potholes, poor infra, airport 100 miles away & now knee-deep waters.
What’s even this place? Time to pack our bags and move back to wherever we have come from, folks.
As a kid I had clothes barely passable even to play on street. I had no footwear other than school shoes. I remember going to family visit/mom’s office barefoot if school shoes were torn
Uniform was one factor that gave a sense of belonging in a system where most were privileged
Annamma Devi is the protector Goddess of our city from the time of it’s first years. Why is it suddenly unacceptable for this deity to pass through our own streets?
Swaraj India requests Bengaluru City police to change the route of a religious procession proposed to pass through areas mostly inhabited by Muslim Community in Yelachenahalli Ward, Bengaluru and to protect peace and harmony between different communities.

Why should a bill that proscribes conversion “from one religion to another by misrepresentation, force, undue influence, coercion, allurement or by any fraudulent means”, prevent anyone from service & question trust?
#JustAsking
Karnataka | With this Bill, they are hurting us a lot. They are questioning our trust, questioning our good services which we are doing. Ever since this Bill has been announced the level of attacks has also increased: Bengaluru Archbishop Peter Machado
She’s pretty in her elements. She decided to wear a make-up of her choice on her special day.
This warning is for what? That her skin is a few shades darker? Or that she got made up differently for a lifetime (photo) op?
Men who need neckties to look educated MUST grow up now.
Who cares if he’s a minister?
BUT, even if he’s a security person/employee stationed to guide incoming people, basic courtesy would require a nod/a hello/a 🙏🏽 in return.
This lack of civility/style is a trait of Privileged India. Gets us “reputation” in planes & pubs worldwide.
We are not just producing engineer's and doctors, we are also producing culture less robots. Look how these student's behaves when a minister welcomes them back home from Ukraine. Now imagine how these so called doctors are going to serve humanity in future..?

Been at both places & I know exactly what you mean.
Meanwhile, phone calls from people unable to find Covid beds in Bangalore & asking for help have started. Hope we don’t have to relive the recent past.

Emotional farewell to Dr Karthik from the team. Trained with me at Fortis for DNB, then joined me at Aster RV as Consultant Interventional cardiologist, he excelled in complex interventions all the way up to TAVI in just 3 yrs.
He is moving to Chitradurga to serve his hometown!
We successfully performed the SECOND (as I know) Transcatheter Valve-in-valve Tricuspid replacement in Karnataka State at the Aster RV hospital, Bangalore. The 12y old bioprosthetic valve of the patient had degenerated & this procedure avoided a THIRD open heart surgery for her.
Just the rough sketch took an hour! Have to figure out how to get the play of light inside the temple, else all is lost 😁 - suggestions welcome.

Dr Nagi Ma’am stared for a while at me with disbelief.
Dr Sriram, my SR who had just come in, frantically elbowed my ribs. signalling me to prostrate quickly to escape demise.
THEN, she burst out laughing. "Even THE 1st one wasn’t RAMLAL. I was saying ARAAM NAAL saas lo".

1. When getting up, older people & those with balance issues should sit on the bed for 30s, stand next to the bed for another 30s before moving out. If dizzy, lie back
2. Elderly have accommodation delay in dark. Always keep a night lamp on

Took us 10 minutes to wake DIL up. Combo of calling bell and calls. Then we got to know that this mama had fallen 2 hours before and that it took him two hours to crawl to where his phone was.
Now that it is all over, feeling sad. Growing old is difficult. (2/2)

I believe languages should unite & not divide
We learn more languages or OUR LANGUAGE LEARNS MORE, only to enrich our thinking & horizons.
After all, it’s language that separates us from other species!

Teleconsulted a pt with cough. Whole family had fever 10 days back. No one bothered to get Covid testing

Should CT centres voluntarily report suspected cases?

My first brush with Punjabi:
Dr Nagi ma’am, the finest GI radiologist in PGI, induced quite a bit of terror among resident docs: if u didn’t know the exact SGOT value from last week u were dead.
Freshers, therefore, were naturally sent accompanying patients to her USG suite

Totally disagree.
Millions of patients are functional because of psychiatrists and their prescriptions. Concluding this based on a TV drama can send wrong signals to many with serious mental health issues.
It must become the bound duty of every physician of any specialty to check blood pressure of their patients.
Surveys have shown high BP is under diagnosed & under treated. BP is one disease that can be detected without a blood test.
Pandemic apart, Medical Postgraduates need to be FAIRLY selected, IN TIME, allowed to train & serve well in PEACE.

Else, a decade later we may not quality healthcare
When a famous Baba came up with kidney cure that can ‘avoid dialysis’, 6 patients who gave up dialysis came in to our ER critically ill
Persons with large SM following must be more responsible talking on matters out of their line
Mental health issues are not to be trivialised
Bipolar disorder, multiple personality disorder, depression etc are all fancy words given by psychiatrists who don’t wish to work on emotional health of the patient and earn money only through drug prescription! Simple! We all have all of the above on a normal basis.
Agree?
“Kannad wale Itna kyun fudak rahe hain” was heard on Hindi Diwas. Wasn’t about language but language imposition

MBBS in Bangalore addressed every1 by name. Later in Delhi/Lucknow/Chandigarh it was sir/ma’am
Never felt odd though. Maybe the Kannadiga habit of calling everyone Saar/Madam.
IMO, it hardly matters. Though addressing someone decades senior by 1st name freaks me out even now.
