At 1,383 full-time jobs every year during the 10-year build out, our solar farm construction project would become the 7th largest employer in Solano County and the largest private employer in Solano County except for healthcare and Six Flags. And that’s just for the build out.

@EastSolanoPlan @samgreeenberg I have to say, this is probably the best zoning code I’ve ever read. The CMU zoning alone is more liberal than the downtown zoning in most places! Love that hotels, offices, and housing are all allowed up to 8 stories without setbacks and with ministerial approval!

@cafedujord The initiative has a legal binding *minimum* of twenty units per acre. It’s legally impossible for us to build sprawl. Anyone who reads the plans in good faith will agree that this is the opposite of sprawl.

That’s why it was so important to us to ask for a large entitlement for tens of thousands of units upfront. If we are sure we can build all those, we can subsidize a grocery store, a couple of coffee shops (one pretentious and one not!), and a few restaurants from the start.

@spokanerising Hello! We do have a rail spur that we're looking at using. It goes all the way to Capitol Corridor/Amtrak. Also, the choice is not Solano vs Bay Area cities. The choice is walkable urbanism in Solano, or sprawl in exurban Phoenix, Dallas, etc. More here:

How will the new community get water? We start by putting the water already used on our properties to better use. Replacing just one poorly producing almond orchard with native pasture and solar farms saves enough water for tens of thousands of residents. We will combine that
