Unlicensed teen on a 50 lb e-bike that goes 20 mph
or licensed teen in a 3,500 lb SUV that goes 80+mph?
Let's do the math on the forces involved
e-bike @ 20 mph: 202N
SUV @ 40 mph: 277,812N

"People" is too broad. "Arabs" is more specific.
*not all Arabs are like this but this at the very least isn't fringe if not mainstream.
I don't understand theses ruralization vs urbanization arguments.
Do both? Small + dense cities surrounded by ag and wilderness.

I can't get over how *noisy* modern society is.
Screaming lawn mowers and leaf blowers, buzzing ac units, chattering refrigerator compressors, whining vacuum cleaners, blaring TVs, rumbling car exhaust...

I see that you're concerned about safety risks posed by e-bikes and I bet I share some of those concerns.
The comment here just seems a tad out of touch given the safety concerns of cars that have been ignored for decades.

FYI, the ones who agreed to speak w/ you are the more moderate ones.
In my experience, most are against "normalizing relations with Zionists".

Anyone who supports the existence of a Jewish state is a Zionist. That's it. It doesn't require agreement with anything else.

Yeah, it's a waste of time to appeal to people who demonize Israel.
Energy put into advocacy is better put towards people who demonstrate ability to hold some nuance. They're the majority and can be reasoned with.
As for MIT -- they should do a better job of teaching students

You have it backwards.
It's the Westerners who struggle to grasp when violence is a response that most expedites the return of peace.
Outside of the West "kumbaya" and "acts of good faith" seldom work.
I wonder if there's a principle that applies to systems in general at play here.
If the parts of a system must fit perfectly with one another for that system to function well, then the system is brittle, fragile. If the system allows for some play among the parts, it's flexible.
