Lady behind me at The Thing screening last night to her partner "why are they shooting at the dog?" and her partner says very firmly "have you never seen a film before? You watch it and information is revealed"
I just wanna say is that most of the time this stuff doesn't bother me too much. I'm not a fan of talking in the cinema obviously but this occasion it was egregious because this scene is like the opening of the movie. It's in the first few minutes 😂
@GregGateley
Call me grumpy but I watch most things especially for the first time only by myself.
Though horror and comedy im happy to see with others usually
@Watwhy1
Reminds me of when Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing New Horizons released the same day. Instead of a battle people would mix the two worlds together and it was pretty rad.
@nodrectionhome
That's when it went from great movie to masterpiece territory for me.
Especially when so many other films would have had that as just some text
@Dalle2d
Well this was at the cinema and this scene is the opening of the film so it's so beyond dumb to ask that question.
If I'm at home watching movies with pals that's different

Post says keg. Kegs are for lager and casks are for ale. You could in theory pour ale back into a cask but it's a lot of faff. You ain't getting liquid back into a keg

Please don't use subtitles when watching a movie if your hearing is fine. They are there for deaf people only and using them is appropriation.

Guy I work with was going off about Greta Gerwig not getting the nom for best director but he hasn't seen any of the other movies lmaooooooo
Just watched Fargo again for the first time in a couple of years. One of my all time favourites and I'm sure it's better than 99% of films ever made. It's pretty much perfect. A whole film festival rolled into 98 minutes.

GenoSamuel is a dude legendary for his Chris Chan series of documentarys. There is 70 parts so far but I'd like to highlight his one he did on the PMRC and music censorship
@BrionyKidd
Yeah I get people miss stuff but I try and wait til after the movie. All depends on the film and vibe of course. Its just bizarre hearing people loudly talk during a suspense movie.

And don't go chasing fouls and trying to argue. Pick your shit up and keep going. I reckon gsw played their best game with game 4 and it was only 110. We can take them tonight!!
@thecroakerqueen
I still quote this no matter where I am and where I travel to. Been doing it since I was like 7.
"Well here we are, Pismo Beach and all the clams we can eat"
Underrated movie of the day:
Super Mario Bros (1993)
It ain't a good Mario movie but the amazing and creative world building makes it Blade Runner with fungus.
R.I.P Ray Liotta. One of my absolute favourites and the star of my most loved film, Goodfellas.
To honour your memory I'm gonna watch No Escape or Narc tonight. Maybe both.
Underrated movie of the day:
The Hunt For Red October (1990)
One of those movies that felt big and important at the time but completely fell off the map a few years later. It's one of the great political/action movies of the day and I hope more younger people get to see it.
It's kinda bonkers that The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker is stranded on the two lowest selling Nintendo home consoles. It's my favourite game ever and yeah I got both the GC and Wii U versions but I think they're missing a lot of sales by not putting it on the Switch
The people who claim twitter is an absolute hell site and overstate how evil and bad it is are always the most terminally online losers you'll ever see. I have a great time just talking about gore movies and actresses I fancy with my pals cheers
