These guys for sure. I designed the fish for Subjectively's competition and Voithulhu was part of a set of legends I did for cash. He's based on Cthulhu but I wanted to avoid going for a toon squid man. Only thing I'd do different is give him a different name than the client did.

After a while I wasn't feeling the fish anymore and started a new critter for my Cassette Beasts mod. I call this critter Cantrip, he's a natural glitter monster. There's been a couple of hiccups implementing him but I've had good help and the mod is almost done. #pixelart

I try to use types and colors in an interesting way. With these, I wanted to create a deep sea monster. Water was the obvious pick but abyssal fish are spooky and glow so I went with ghost/electric. Then I used neon colors to convey electricity, which is also unique for ghosts.

@CodenameJD @aridaregion Not that I'm aware of. I was working off of art that Idilio sent me for them when I designed these versions. That said, groudon resembles some interpretations of behemoth better now that it has bull horns. Same with rayquaza's new wings and ziz.

@BlockArenaGame other than the guys there, I've been drawing up ideas for monsters based on the zodiac signs that I imagine functioning as bosses. I was thinking of making smaller minion monsters to go along with some of these, like giving leo a pride or cancer a pirate crew.

One of the things I wanted to do was completely change the look of the hallow biome to an orange, autumnal forest. I got pretty into that but stalled on backgrounds and other tiles and dropped it for a while.

@_V3X3D @ScuffedNewt There was a bit of fiddling with the palette to get it to my liking but it was pretty simple. Every color has its own value so there was some logic to how they were placed. You can see how this works if you change em all to something like gray or brown.
