Flew Bali to New Zealand red-eye last night with my baby (on his 1st birthday). The drunk guys in front of us were real tough guys swearing at my baby for crying (as he fell asleep) and laughing loudly, waking him up again repeatedly. Babies are not the problem on flights.

@adiiiaf Did a DNA test and found out my sperm donor was my parents fertility specialist!🫢 On the bright side my 1/2 brothers turned out to be full brothers and I have more 1/2 brothers. The weirdest thing was that I became a doctor too! They were good genes so no complaints here.

17 years ago my husband joked about where our invite was for a staff boat trip, did it get lost in the mail etc. Almost all of our friends drowned that night on that boat. A birthday dinner of 12 people the week before & only the 2 of us alive now. Not being invited isn’t so bad.

@emilykmay My kids were extreme opposites: one climbed out of his crib at 2yrs old, repeatedly running baths in the middle of the night 😱 The other never climbed out or even so much as stood up in her crib. At 3 I got her a toddler bed simply because it was getting weird!

She was soaked and very heavy. Dried her with towels and wrapped in blankets until farmer came. Took lamb home to feed. Both survived 🥰

A young guy in my community has had his jaw broken twice in the past 6 weeks while waiting at Hobsonville bus stops. 5 young thugs pulled over and beat him up for his basically empty wallet. Metal plates on both sides of his jaw. Wtf?! I’m terrified to let my son catch the bus!

@quoodle1 @LqLana I have carried to term a baby that had very slim chances of survival with extremely difficult surgeries. Discovered additional issues upon birth that were not seen during ultrasound, therefore ruling out surgery. I loved my daughter but I would not put myself through that again.

@strewnryan There’s just one mistake that I see people make everywhere I go and as a Dr it’s hard to overlook. People using the same pen to sign the visitors book + no hand sanitizer 🤦‍♀️ take your own pen everywhere people!

@shortstackDandN @UjuAnya My 65 year old Nanna after my Grandad died: “I wish I’d divorced him 30 years ago. I also wish I’d tried some of that whacky backy stuff.” She met him at 15 and married at 16, he was 29. He loved her, but she wasn’t allowed to work or have her own life. 6 kids keeps you tied.

@kvetchings @carol_stirling I’m kind of glad they did it and got caught, because it shows people that they won’t get away with trying that. It’s not the fear of punishment that prevents crime, it’s the likelihood of being caught.

@proustmalone My country’s airforce base sits beside a primary school. A fence is all that separates them. We still use leaded petrol in aviation. When I suggested people get their children tested for lead exposure I was laughed at by people with zero medical knowledge. Nobody tested.
