@pclarkallen My little son excitedly asked if we could build a sailboat together. My knee jerk response was that there was no way we could do that. After I had crushed his dreams I thought, If the Phoenicians could do it with rudimentary tools, we could. So we did!

@EpochInspired @Morbidful Proud of you ma'am. That's such a difficult thing to undo in your life. As a kid I self-medicated for years with alcohol and drugs often drunk at school. When I saw where it took others older than me, I turned away from it. It was my faith in God that made the difference for me.

@SallyMayweather My son in high school (rural Tennessee) was applauded by staff when he'd finally have enough and clean a bully's clock. Once parents complained to the police. We took him to the station and the officer told him not to worry. He knew the kid, he was glad someone took care of him.

To help a suicidal, give them small simple choices, then ask, so you are choosing to (whatever, stay in bed, use the restroom, etc.) Their brain sees they have choice. And hope returns.

@DuckieLouise Those things grow love. I knew a couple that had a wedding that cost over $100,000. Her dress was an original. It was $20,000. When the honeymoon was over, and it was time to do things like wash dishes and take out the trash, they separated. It lasted 6 months or so.

A few weeks ago I built the 6 glass panels for the lefthand window. I installed them on Wednesday. The window on the right was complete a couple of years ago. It's an ongoing hobby replacing certain windows with stained glass. This is my living room.
