@webdevMason I remember seeing the difference in mothers between two goats that lost a kid. One refused to move from where be buried her baby for over a week and the other didn't even seem to notice. Also saw a cow give birth and it was amazing all the stuff that just happened.

So easy to underestimate waiting when making food. Not talking about the time in the oven or to cook. But just doing nothing. Making puff pastry from scratch. Hundreds of layers of dough and butter. After kneading the dough, it gets all tense. Forcing it just causes it to tear

Realized there was a fine line between manipulation and persuasion. I'd already been trying to build my persuasion skills but didn't understand the difference. @NoahRevoy 's book helped me understand this. Enabling me to maintain other's agency while also having my needs met.

@whatifalthist Mormons do this perfectly. They have singles wards where all the services are for singles and have tons of extra mingling activities. It's rare to continue being single for over a year before getting married. Matchmaking would be another option.
