Twitter just to be clear. Michael Collins was shot and died in 1922. @FineGael was established 11 years later in 1933. Collins had nothing to do with them. @FineGael s 1st leader was a blueshirt fascist Eoin O’Duffy. History can’t be changed. Ideology changes little

Have to admire the Irish News for reporting what was in front of their eyes earlier this month. No "legitimate concerns" etc. Racists, plain and simple.

@gavreilly I think the point is Sinn Féin reluctantly went along with the government proposal knowing their approach was wrong and wording not right. It was unclear to everyone including themselves. Accepting second best is not acceptable but that's what happened and it's not good enough

@irishexaminer The media and i am not just talking examiner have gone above and beyond to regurgitate a legacy for this man. A man who if he kept to what he said before the feb 20 election should never ever have been Taoiseach.

James Connolly - court marshalled and executed on a chair at kilmainham gaol by British occupying forces. Irish republican, socialist and trade union leader. An actual patriot of Ireland 🇮🇪 #CoolockSaysNo 😡

They still haven’t shaken off the aul section 31 mentality. Like it or not irish rebel music is a big part of who we are and has a huge audience. Maybe embarrassing for the silver spoon brigade until they get a few porters into them of course 🙄

RTÉ currently broadcasting ‘The Flourishing’, tracing the development of Irish music from 1950’s to the present day … despite being 58 yrs on the road this year, it’s as if The Wolfe Tones never existed according to this production and RTÉ 🙄 … @rte #theflourishing

There’s a big difference between Pearse Doherty and Leo Varadkar. One is of political conviction like many others targeted by this state for political beliefs. One is under criminal investigation for leaking valuable confidential state docs to a friend.

@BelTel The church really endearing themselves to rebuild ‘faith’ with the public after the decades of abuse and social control they inflicted on the island of Ireland. Never again

@JoeBrolly1993 @LeoVaradkar He may be comfortable on the world stage but on the domestic stage he can’t house his people nor get them the care needed if they are sick. No point talking up an economy if society is broken. It’s all about the many not the few.

@think_or_swim @SEAI_ie That’s great john. However in another world the annual rate of the; State pension is €13,172 Disability allowance is €10,816 Carers allowance is €11,648 Punish them with a carbon tax and no way to make a ‘just transition’.
