@DrEilidhMaria
i always thought it was odd to ask for pay restoration to early 2000 levels- it should be restored to whatever 2024 would have paid if it matched MP pay rises.
@nigelpenfold
@jeannie_watkins
@gmcuk
What do you think of this? Daughter couldn't hack it at medschool and now this bloke is trying to erase standards. If your daughter was so important maybe you should have put family before career.
@iDrSunny
i know of hospitals where few of the core trainees have access to scheduled clinics , most dont have the access to the dictation software. However PAs are getting their own lists for procedures and clinics. Make it make sense. Whats worrying is many have now progressed to regs..
@dr_merritt
In the recent weeks many doctors have had meetings without coffee for speaking out against this issue and this includes consultants. Consultants who I might say juniors actually look up to.
@falconerstuart
@thomaswoodcock
@TheBMA
a recent reddit post where an ANP got asked if they were a doc in ED and got refused by a patient retributed to getting the most junior doc to see the patient out of spite. This sort of complex is very common, in a few decades multiple this many times.
@EKHUFT
@Alisonmariposas
@RCollEM
maybe all our us with 2 years experience can be a consultant , consultant F2 consultant spr , consultant sas , consultant junior consultant , not a consultant consultant
@DrElleMorris
You are no more valuable than the career, we all have a role to play. You have a level of privilege that many will never know , don't forget this. This is not the way.
@TheSalariedPA
The majority of docs HATE PAs/AAs as a concept . Where the fuck are the assistants that were promised. Seems to be a life hack to shortcutting years of hard work. When the dust settles you guys will be the scape goat.
@MedCasey
From 9-5 no doctor needs to be missing any learning ops for routine things like bloods/cannulas/cultures/ dropping samples to the lab / dcs etc... Lets make them responsible for these things. Let them run around as originally intended
@Zeljooo29
@MuesliSwapTeam
@MinswapDEX
market cap, and muesli is a team that keeps adding new features. If they can get v2 plutus , decentralised batchers and better liquidity for multi hop they will no doubt be very close to min
@DrEilidhMaria
A GP trainee had told me in confidence they want to move their newly qualified PA (1 year exp.) to 10 minutes appointments. The PA is not happy but the practice is pushing this, this is despite GPST3 being on 15-20 min. Make it make sense
@MedRegoncall1
it might be useful to look it up for a doc who has left hospital medicine after many years and a bit rusty. However it will never be appropriate to try to learn on the job which seems like the case here.
@Doc_IonaCollins
I would love to be a dog walker to be honest , i think about it actually quite often. No stress , nice dogs the only thing that will put me off is the unpredictable weather.
@DrEilidhMaria
I am sorry you have to go through this. I have 2 loving parents and its easy to forget not everyone has that. Stay strong, all of us anons support you.
@veggieequallife
If anything happens we will set up a gofundme / whatever to help. It takes a true hero to have the courage to come forward. You have undoubtedly helped more docs than you can imagine.
@Dr_Done_
I was told by an anp to think of them as a consultant. At the rate of decline in the uk, it's only sometime before med school admissions plummets
@SimonAFeather
@TomStocks1982
@DrRichardPile
At the end of the day, consultants should be signing these prescriptions. You will see how quickly they stop advocating for rotational training and non doctors
@DocAnonX
if they can cut docs salary by 1/3 + , what do you think these guys will be getting in the future. People with money will not pay to see them
@BMA_James_Steen
James , everyone knows you cant raise problems without being labelled as a problem trainee/doc. This is endemic. Why do you think doctors fight for computers and sit on bins. People are to afraid to speak up. Its almost as if we need trust independent mechanism to flag issues
@PwincessHanHan
@DocAnonX
@goldstone_tony
@BMA_Consultants
You dont seem to understand if you dont pay people properly they leave and you face the consequences. I would hope you have a house to sell for one emergency admission should you need it, like how it is in the US.
@RobLaurensonD4P
I have it good , but i don't care if anyone that comes after me does. "The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit."
@docdai
@significantrisk
@ollieburtonmed
"ensure job satisfaction and career progression for ALL our MDT" What is wrong is wrong with you. Job dissatisfaction is highest for UK docs who lets be honest spend the first 4 fucking years doing fuck all f1 f2 ct1 ct2. You only really start to get trained once ST4.
@ExplosiveEnema2
@AcutemedNatalie
I will believe it when the elite class/royals start to be seen by them. Otherwise its dilution for profit at the expense of the public
@ZainKhanMed
Being a PA is like having a set of tools with half missing. You can still do some work, but when you need to do something, you will be stuck. Imagine not having a hex set or a hammer.
@TrishikaSuji
Most junior doctors have exit plans. Playing hardball is going to cost him big time. We could leave and drive buses, become teachers ... But no-one could jump into a doctor role. ACPs need years to get decent and when anything is slightly abnormal they rope the consultant in ASAP

Dont want to fucking be competitive enough to get into medschool. Clearly not proud of being a physio. Why do I have to rotate to a random hospital every year/other year for a decade doing 48hrs average weeks, when you can just have a go
