My 15 year said, "lure the cows out with wheat. They always go for it." My 12 year old agreed. "Best way to decow the house if you don't want to kill them."

My kids have been playing since they were tiny and could lead seminars on minecraft etiquette, and troubleshooting. "When there are far too many cows: ethical decowing."

Hey, I am one of those Americans, you know what is cool? I am raising my kids in a country where they don't have to do shooter drills so they are less anxious.
@nialltg
If interested in Pissfingers must be able to pass a security clearance meant for MI-5 officers. Also you will have to answer the vague riddles of a woman who cares for Pissfingers -she won't like you.
Here is an interesting thing to consider when people talk about folks not having a sense of humor these days. Desi Arnaz & Lucille Ball made a point that their show in the 50s wouldn't do "ethnic" jokes or jokes that made fun of people with physical or mental disabilities.

You really have to keep evolving and learning as the kid grows older. It is a practice of humility. Teens are so interesting and fun. (and they need just as much attention, love, and care as a toddler.)
@NotonW
Easy. Lure him out with the promise that he won a special award, nab him with a net and pop him on a flight and put him somewhere. Mossad-style.

Let me explain. Straight people are afraid/hate each other (culture does that) so most just venture out for coffee/drinks first as an obligation. Most don't know how to have a good time. Then they go home and complain.
I will say this until my dying day: feeding children is one of the cheapest and best investments you can make in society and the future of it. If they eat, it reduces a lot of their stress/anxiety in their life. They can be kids & have the head space to learn.
On behalf of everyone who has been reliant on free school dinners: those of you saying it's not the government's job to feed disadvantaged children have no idea the huge difference those meals make. Or the lasting damage you will do to our society and economy.

There are men who are super turned on by pregnant women. They don't even need to do the act themselves. I could tell the most hilarious and obscene story about a man I once knew.

You don't seem well educated about reproductive health and public health in general. If you visit your local library, someone can help you obtain resources to learn a little bit more about how this benefits everyone.

I live in rural England and I am around quite a few guns. (hunting, dealing w/foxes trying to get livestock.) But it is a very different culture/attitude towards guns so I am not anxious.

I am so incredibly proud of that woman for making the decision to move on, and find exactly what she wanted. He has NOTHING to be mad about.
@ellle_em
I had a guy friend at that age. I slept over at his house until we were around 14 or so. We were just friends and it was fun staying up watching bad movies, eating ice cream and being nerds together. I really value that time a lot. I hope she had a great time.
@akilahgreen
My favourite moment... a woman said, "of course you have been to Disneyland?" And I said, "nope." I had to explain I had been very poor and we didn't vacation. And her world was blown apart. Too poor to go to Disneyland.
Laying in bed and I discover a spider walking across my left breast. I calmly picked it up and put it on the floor. I fear nothing. Think of this tweet if you ever consider crossing me.

The man who kept slipping away during the date... to do crack. Then cheerfully confessed he was doing crack and said, 'but you are all right with it." I was not all right with it.

It is called being a responsible member of society. It is what we owe each other. It is a matter of public health. Now vaccinate your kids. And get your flu shot. Signed a mother of two.

I am really trying to find the "tone" that he speaks of. She isn't unpleasant. She is firm, honest, direct and polite. She isn't sarcastic, or vicious. She is professional. Is that too much for him?
@punished_cait
He sounds like he has figured out the secret to it all. Being there, being loving, having a good time, hanging out with dogs, and his wonderful wife.

I feel like great progress has been made in that my mom told me she is having surgery this month. When? "Sometime later in the month" like dealing with a wizard telling me riddles.

As someone who has lived in Britain for years -NOTHING about this is incorrect. This is very much how the news is. Radio 4 is very much, "Look at how well you have done, you went to Cambridge and isn't everyone just over-reacting?"
The most ridiculous and wonderful thing has happened. A man came to the door and asked if he could park his food truck in front of my house on Thursdays. He sells pizza. There will be a man selling pizza at the end of my driveway. I think my oldest kid manifested this.

Oh pet. That sounds like the sort of thing people in abusive situations say to justify really unpleasant behaviour they experience.

Following this puberty blocker ban case I am struck by how there is such a lack of nonsense around it. There are LOADS of medications that aren't 100 percent perfect or ideal for people that are still available to people. Oral contraceptive is a good example of that.
We got onto the subject of awful Christmas gifts. My mom pointed out that I will always win for getting the worst present ever from a family member. The year my paternal grandmother gave me the lingerie she wore on her wedding night of her SECOND marriage. I was 13.

Your kids are my favourite anarchists. I think the covid years have brought enormous sympathy in how kids show up in our working lives. May your kids keep bringing good humour.

Women tend to do that kind of a thing for other women. Sometimes we see someone who needs a lift up in life. Even the bad girls know that kindness pays in emotional dividends down the road.

I think of stories about what contract actors went through in the 1930s, and it makes absolute sense why she would react that way. (Even Shirley Temple had stories about producers doing creepy things when she was only 12 years old.)

I once stayed in an AirBnB that was like the House of Usher. Wisteria was growing inside of the HOUSE, the host's daughter was like a strange ghost, and in the morning there was the remains of breakfast like everyone had been spirited away.
