Not sure it was quite that. A later phase of the investigation reached half of Americans, which was pretty awesome. But
@hbomberguy
sent my stats through the roof again last week. I don't know of any current affairs producer in the world with a bigger reach. A phenomenon.

Reading this thread from the UK, I can't even believe you're having this conversation. America's health system is just shocking. Sickening. How can any civilised society arrange things this way? Sorry to butt in. 🙂
Three weeks to publication in UK, Oz. North America soon after. From Amazon & all good bookstores. Pre-order to assure quick supply.

I'm wondering if this means all former members of uniformed services can wear their uniforms after they've quit. Army? Fire service? Nurses? Police? He holds no rank and isn't in the military. Neither is his uncle Andrew.

I suspect I'm wasting my time, but if she died of metastatic melanoma she was almost certainly killed by (a) sunburn, followed by (b) late diagnosis. It's appalling to read the drivel here.

You mean, ever since editors realized that Andrew Wakefield was a research cheat and the case against MMR was fabricated, they've lost patience with those who'd wish to trick journalists. If you're unhappy, take it up with Wakefield.
@StuartJRitchie
I'm not a lawyer either, but I'd say this Andersson character has published prima facie justification to be interviewed under caution by the police, and to have his electronic activity forensically inspected.

The overwhelming majority of "vaccine injuries" are either trivial, or not causally related all. Self-reporting of "vaccine injuries" are all-but totally unreliable, and hearsay reports are worthless. This guy Young knows nothing of such matters.

I believe Benjamin Netanyahu warrants arrest for genocide. No Hamas terrorism justifies the deliberate or reckless slaughtering, maiming and orphaning of children. Western politicians who condone it should go too.
Transgender and vaccine science. Anyone interested in both might appreciate this Indiana lawsuit. The defendants accuse the plaintiffs' (trans +) experts of exactly the same conduct as antivax court performers. The scientific playbook is identical.
UK: Just received my voter suppression notification from the Sunak government. New ID requirements should weed out plenty of young voters, but spare old folks like me. Universal suffrage is so, well, yesterday.

If Iain Anderson can't speak to Stonewall's agenda, but slips away into evasiveness and timewasting, then he should resign. Whatever you think about what
@bethrigby
raised, he never squarely addressed anything she put to him.
Israel attacks the flagship aid charity fighting starvation in Gaza. Time for Western governments to stop all arms supplies, force Netanyahu from power, and end the genocide.

And (in the light of previous infectious disease outbreaks) they nearly all wear masks. UK - the world's worst Covid performer - has all but abandoned masks, which are nowhere mandatory. Coincidence?
Never forget that, as a journalist, Boris Johnson was fired by The Times, years ago for dishonesty. His character shares much with the research cheat Andrew Wakefield. Under stress, his default is to lie.

UK. Hopeless standard of BBC interviewing, as usual. Bankers bonuses? Mortgage products withdrawn? Increased likelihood of angry strikes? Why is transferring wealth from the poor to the rich good for Britain?

Thanks Paul. I'd missed that one. If I ever meet that man again, the encounter will begin with hour after hour of him lying to parents of kids with developmental issues. Not decades ago, but bang up to date.
UK. Utterly useless interview by Laura Kuenssberg. Fails to raise mortgage withdrawals, railworkers etc striking over falling wages as the rich enriched by Truss tax changes, bankers bonuses. Direct concerns of viewers. Eye contact poor. Reading questions from list.

I'm sorry, I don't understand. In what respect do SARS-CoV-2 vaccines work like the MMR vaccine: a combination of three functional "live" RNA viruses? I would say they are a very different technology, but am willing to be corrected.
@Inversionism
@DrWakefield
(a) Andrew Wakefield never made any discoveries about thimerosal. His subject was MMR, which never contained thimerosal. Which shows how much you know of these matters. (b) The case of fraud against him is conclusively proven.

I don't think you've followed this too closely. It took years to obtain the patient records and other evidence of wrongdoing. Only then was it possible to find serious fault. There was nothing on the face of the paper giving grounds for retraction.
Finally finished

‘s book on Andrew Wakefield. Not easy finding time to read a book this year as a science journalist, but this one was a must: The inside story of uncovering one of the biggest scientific frauds of the 20th century (a friend calls it ‚journalism porn‘).
Ambitious chronicles of race and family genealogies, moving memoirs that call for change and insightful, indelible essays.

Elon Musk take Twitter private? In my view, no individual should be allowed outright control of Twitter. Governments should intervene to stop this risk, if necessary.
@Silverangelrant
Andrew Wakefield wasn't any kind of expert on vaccines or autism. He was an academic researcher on Crohn's Disease. The pharmaceutical industry paid him and didn't target him. He lost his license for research fraud. Everything you say is wrong.

Wakefield was summoned by the provost of the university which ran the medical school, and asked to replicate his study, with full funding and support to look at hundreds of cases, with the virology. An honest scientist's dream. He refused, claiming "academic freedom".
@stkirsch
Wakefield's 1998 Lancet paper described MMR as the "apparent precipitating event." Precipitate means cause. Here's his vaccine patent of 1998, in which he claims MMR causes autism. At page 2:
