I just got a call from Bo Jackson. He said he was calling all the victims of the hit & run on June 20th to express his concern and offer support. That was nice. He invited me (and will invite other victims) to attend a White Sox game with him in "the booth". That s/b interesting
I was fully committed to renewing my White Sox ticket package for next year, but given the way they have just completely checked out while the new GM has already given the current manager another year, I am on the brink of changing my mind.
For anyone interested in my recovery, I had a followup appt today for my fractured fibula. Doc said it is healing well and I have "no restrictions" on activities. White Sox called today also. They want me to "be up front" at the

I'm really bad at this, but, hey, I got hit by a car, flew thru the air, landed in a sunroof, went on a police chase upside down on the Dan Ryan and ran a 5k 5 weeks later, so vote LoudChuck

Recovery update - saw wrist & hand guy today. He removed the cast on my left wrist and said thumb is healing well. Also said I don't need to wear brace on right wrist ulnar styloid fracture. My hands are free! I start PT on Thursday
What the hell are they gonna talk about on Chicago sports radio after:
1. Fields finally traded
2. Cubs finally signed Bellinger
3. White Sox finally traded Cease

I think the main thing for most people is weather. As a long-time runner I have learned that the anticipation of conditions are usually (not always) way worse than the actual experience. You can dress to ride in most conditions if you have the right gear
Thanks to
@MySoxSummer
for working with
@MDowney14
from the White Sox and shipping me a replacement for the Sox track jacket I lost in the June20th hit & run outside GRF! I missed it

Just came back from 26th & Cal. State’s Attorney showed me the videos of the hit & run from June 20, 2023. Man, was I ever a lucky sonuvabitch to survive that
@SandersLoriann
Yes, ma’am. no brain injury. Fractured ribs, small not concerning fractures in a few lumbar spine segments and broken and dislocated thumb along with lots of bruising, swelling and lacerations
I just heard
@soxmachine_josh
say Ald Nicole Lee is gonna be at the Ramova Wed. I was on the fence about going (I have a ticket), but I am gonna go for sure now. Want to address pedestrian & cyclist safety

Plan Commission approved Crescent Heights' 53-story, 587-unit residential project at 420 N. May St. The Fulton Market project will provide at least 119 affordable units while paying $5.8 million to the Neighborhood Opportunity Bonus system and $250,00 for rail crossing upgrades.
My ST rep just called me. They're having me do some kind of tour of the broadcast booth during the Apr 27th game vs the Rays. I can bring along 3 more folks. Anyone from WST wanna join me. I really don't know what to expect from it.
Hey
@Metra
, would you please open the concourse at Ogilvie on Sundays? I have to walk to the green line after I get off. Exiting via Madison adds significant time & distance
We wouldn’t be here without all of you💜 Thankful for our riders who bring the best energy to every single ride 🔥 And thank you to the

With clearance from my doc, jog/walked about 2 miles. Jog was awkward and VERY slow, but felt OK. May be able to walk/run

It's another Chicago snow non-event here by the lakefront. Streets & sidewalks are wet. There is a light coating of slush on grassy surfaces. The chicken littles of weather forecasting strike once again!
Since I am an idiot, I am going to renew my 20 game White Sox plan for next year. I really wish they would do something to upgrade the wine choices, however. At the beginning of the year, they had the Meiomi Pinot Noir, which is good, but then it disappeared.
