On this day in 2002, City Council landmarked one of the oldest extant structures in Chicago: the Illinois-Indiana State Line Marker. Located just south of Calumet Harbor near 103rd Street, the 15-foot limestone obelisk has marked the Illinois and Indiana boundary since 1833.
