This two tweet thread is very true- @BorisJohnson did NOT achieve a new deal- he just settled on a deal that the EU offered in early 2017- and that Theresa May AND Mr. Johnson rejected out of hand and said no British PM could ever agree to!

This cartoon nails the message of far right populism. The guy in the middle even looks like Rupert Murdoch.

@KwasiKwarteng @James_BG How about:- a) Making Onshore wind easier? b) Making solar farms easier? c) Insulation? d) Helping home owners to optimise gas boiler settings (8% efficiency savings easily achievable)? Why do the changes seem to focus on expanding fossil fuels and not renewables & efficiency?

@KwasiKwarteng 1/ Disingenuous straw-man. Nobody is proposing "shutting off domestic oil and gas production". The proposal is to switch investment from NEW oil and gas to insulation and renewables (including the disastrously neglected onshore wind and solar). Such a proposal would be far more..

@lewis_goodall Clearly ridiculous and contradicts the minsiterial code. On that logic no PM can ever be removed except through a general election. Not sure BJ accepted that principle when Theresa May was PM.

@PaulBrandITV @BBCBreakfast In short, Gillian Keegan responded to Lammy's accusation of gaslighting by gaslighting him. That's the only explanation- how could anyone interpret Lammy's tweet as "pitting groups against other groups"? She insults our intelligence.

@BurnsideNotTosh @PolitlcsUK @Telegraph We've been doing that for years due to the ban on onshore wind, large-scale solar and failure to insulate our homes. That's the real scandal.

This afternoon House of Commons held "General debate on the independent review on net zero". This was the turnout. MPs (from all sides) are treating #ClimateEmergency with utter contempt. Is it any wonder that some resort to non violent direct action to get meaningful attention?

@James_BG Agreed. Plus they seem more tactically astute this year, the main targets/demands seem to be:- a) Stop fossil fuel investments b) Financial institutions that support fossil fuel companies. Far better than the rogue protestors that stopped trains last year.

That story and research would make a superb wildlife documentary to promote your cause:-
