My proposal to fix this: Fix inventory limits for 45 days. Allow Sellers to send inventory to maintain their limit - even if they are currently at their limit. The amount you’re allowed to send is computed by a sales forecasting model + the time it takes to send/receive.

We killed Amazon DSP last year (scaled monthly spend down from $25k to $12k to 0). No difference in sales. Used those funds to hire more great folks. Way better ROI.

I think most people don’t understand how much taxes the rich pay. I’m not rich, but I’ve paid more in taxes than I’ve actually pulled out of my business. My tax bill alone last year was more than I made my entire tenure at Amazon (6 years of making $100k-$200k).

There is a $16.8 BILLION tax opportunity here. Tax Chinese + Foreign sellers at the same rate as US Sellers. Rough Math: Let's say $800 billion in retail sales for 2021, 56% is 3P, 75% of which is Chinese, with a 20% profit margin, taxed at 25%.
