Love this to begin our receiving drills. Plyo balls, tennis balls, lacrosse balls, and baseball to get the hands starting to work. We also use wrist weights and a weighted glove to add some more variability to the training.

Here is a machine ladder walk up drill I like to do with our catchers to have them get comfortable receiving pitches from different set ups and velocities. Mixed in a couple of running situations. Tons of situational reps in a short amount of time. #catchers #baseball

For some reason there still seems to be a whole lot of coaches that stills think velocity doesn’t matter and is the devil, why are they are the first ones to pull out their radar guns. Why do you own a radar gun if it doesn’t matter? Invent the command gun.
