@SusanLa69642683 @LisaZembrodt @ItsBouquet Well the gas exporters are raking it in, on gas that costs them the same to extract. If only there was some mechanism for the common wealth to benefit, like taxation πŸ€”. Use it to fund the big solar, wind, community battery build. The bonanza won’t last long - OS have sun too.

@jeremyjudkins_ That’s not how (most) engineers think. They don’t buy stuff just because they can afford it. They do cost benefit analysis, factoring the opportunity cost. (e.g. the cells and materials not used in smaller model one day make an e-bike for my kid).

@alex_avoigt Two researchers on the coming disruptions are Tony Seba and Adam Dorr, both recommended follows ( @tonyseba @adam_dorr ), especially for those radicalised with half the story.

@BrentToderian @WIRED Reducing driving times in cities is remarkably simple. Here’s the secret. Faster commuter trains with more capacity. That’s right. If the train is fast, cheap, comfortable, people leave the car at home, the roads have less traffic and move faster.

@DanielBleakley @FedorovMykhailo @SpaceX To make it work requires a power outlet and a view of the sky. That’s it. Here’s ours working perfectly on the back lawn. (Destined for the roof, but non stop rain since it arrived). It could easily be deployed at night and recovered by dawn to remain covert.

@teslaeconomist Not necessarily. I bought yesterday at 170, having not bought since 300. I chose yesterday because everything was telling me the mood had changed. Twitter noise settled. China sales good. Inflation fears down. FSD wide. Semi delivery. Elon happy. Shorts noisy and irrational.

@Rainmaker1973 Does it always coil clockwise? Are there left hand or ambi pythons? If you coil it anti clockwise to start, what happens?

@waitbutwhy Tim’s right of course, but here’s a tip that has halved such moments in my life. Always pack the room/unit you are departing onto the bed, nothing loose. Then agree with partner that everything is on the bed. Then depart.

@Gradadvisor @skdh Did we watch the same vid? I heard Sabine being scathing of the lack of a price on CO2 emissions - the failure of regulation to listen to three decades of advice by economists.

@ListerLawrence @AAPresident Yeah, that’s bollocks. The range hit from being fully loaded barely registers. Putting roof racks on would have a bigger effect. Physics.
