I have a feeling the 28th and 29th will go down in the history books in an unexpectedly wild way for the foundations of physics.
Buckle up, we’re going for one helluva ride :)
I've been told that Biden is preparing an "unprecedented address to the nation" sometime next year following the passage of the UAP Disclosure Act in the NDAA.
A galactic scale telescope that can see the ripples of spacetime, and with improvements may be able to peer back to the origins of the universe, will absolutely change the world.
95% of the stuff in the universe is a total mystery, dark matter is as enigmatic as ever, a >5 sigma tension persists for H_0, and hints of more tensions are actively being discovered with JWST. The last time there was new physics was in the '70s.
Everything is fine.
how can anyone with a straight face claim there’s *no evidence* that consciousness is a result of brain states when we can turn it off with anesthesia?
So… NASA and AARO have publicly stated there are spheres all over the world with no obvious signs of propulsion that can reach Mach 2??
Balloons don’t accelerate to Mach 2. So what’s the physical mechanism here?
My bet: LK99 isn't quite a room-temp ambient-pressure SC--but it's close enough to spark a revolution in SC research that eventually figures it out. And sooner rather than later. 1/
None of my intelligent (130+ IQ) friends listen to music regularly. They only listen selectively and rarely e.g. at a business event or a classical piece, but almost never listen spontaneously in their own time. This has been a long term consistent observation, but today
I’ve been told there are three factions in the
@DeptofDefense
regarding UAP: one of Christian fundamentalists who are convinced UAP are demons, the other convinced they are time travelers, and the—last most secretive faction—claims to know the origins and is in contact.
I'm thrilled to announce I accepted a Ph.D. position with

! I'll work on the quantum underground aromatic pathways theory of consciousness, a new revolutionary panpsychist physics that replaces the incoherent physicalism dogma of scientism!!!!!!!!!
U(1) is a 1-sphere. SU(2) is a 3-sphere. A qubit is an SU(2)-bundle over a 2-sphere with a U(1) fiber. SU(3) is an SU(2)-bundle over a 5-sphere. Entanglement is a 7-sphere over the 4-sphere with an SU(2) fiber. De Sitter space is a Lorentzian 4-sphere.
Spheres all the way down.
Just because you can speak, that doesn't make you a grammarian. Just because you're a scientist, that doesn't make you an expert on the nature of science and the evidential support it provides. The relevant experts here are philosophers of science.

Theorists love talking about spacetime and entanglement. But they never talk about the fact that the fiber bundle structure of entanglement is the Hopf fibration, i.e., the mathematical bridge between Minkowski space and spinors. There’s an entire universe of geometry there!
It's becoming increasingly clear some conflicts lack a prosaic solution. The core problem is an old one: there can be no shared objective reality between two groups with competing religious truth claims.
Maybe it's time to reject religious truth claims.
Reasons why the Copenhagen interpretation is incoherent:
1) In the very early universe, it implies a classical supernatural observer prepared the initial state of the quantum universe.
You're done.
Everyone on the planet should be aware of the marvelous machines humanity has built to understand our origins. We are in a golden age of precision cosmology.
We have looked at the stars and wondered for 200,000 years. Every experiment like this one, changes the world.
Just saw Oppenheimer. I have mixed feelings. They should have shown the bombs being dropped and the hideous destruction they cause—I expected Nolan to make it much darker than what was portrayed…
I’m disappointed.
What makes physics weird is that we treat it as fundamental and associate it with the world we perceive. In actuality, we live in a simulation, a physics engine, a kind of 3d computer game, which (according to our best models) is created by the computations of our brains.
National Lab (LBNL) results support LK-99 as a room-temperature ambient-pressure superconductor.
Simulations published 1 hour ago on arxiv support LK-99 as the holy grail of modern material science and applied physics.

Here's the plain-english
physicists will be like: the particle takes an infinite number of possible paths (some more than others) from points A to B, while in the same breath dismiss the 'many words'
Having a Prof. with 100K followers (who blocked you for saying Sheldon Cooper is funny) unblock you to take your tweet out of context and indirectly call you "incompetent" is so 2023.
@hasanthehun
bro... what do you think China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea would do if America demilitarized? These millionaire streamer takes are peak nativity.
Theorists: "Fundamental Physics is just fine!"
Also, theorists: "All symmetries are fake, nothing is conserved, the very early universe is like evolutionary biology, making predictions is too hard, let me just invent this field cause I don't like this small number."
Ya'll ok?
If you truly believed your ”theory of everything” was correct you wouldn't be afraid to submit the paper for peer review and would be open to critical feedback.
Imagine the lack of *all* structure. No physical law, space, time, fields, equations of motion, or symmetries. Absolute nothing. Then, all of a sudden, a universe with physical law is born full of field content and symmetries. 1/
Jews have been oppressed for generations. The population has never recovered from the Holocaust.
No group has the unilateral right to violate human rights. Not the Jews. Not the Palestinians. No one.
If we can not live in a principled society there can be no civilization.

: no evidence of ET tech. What do you say to that? If they aren’t ET how can we explain it?
@LueElizondo
: well, we have to look at this from a temporal, from a time perspective. 👀
Serious physicists don't go beefing on podcasts to stir up attention.
They put their head down and work toward deriving precise observable numbers that can prove themselves wrong.
Physics isn't a popularity contest.

If it isn’t clear yet, the Biden admin is positioning itself to use UAP to de-polarize a toxic political atmosphere and restore trust in government through a coordinated disclosure campaign.
The only question is disclosure of *what* exactly?
White House National Security Council Coordinator, Admiral John Kirby was asked about Senator Schumer’s UAP legislation. 💥
-White House takes it seriously

With the help of ChatGPT, in a single afternoon, I was able to get my clunky code that took 5hrs and 80GB of memory to run, down to 30 mins and a little over 3GB of ram on a puny Azure ML instance…
Game changer.
I didn’t have an unhinged UFO nut and conspiracy theorist contacting my employer and trying to get me fired for making fun of him on my 2023 bingo card LOL
The most important project in human history is to find a way to solve the nuclear problem. A technology capable of neutralizing every nuclear weapon on earth. Only one option comes to mind.
The mystery that is quantum mechanics rages on. Is there a magical scale where objects stop being quantum? Or is the *form* of the laws of physics the same on all scales? Is quantum mechanics truly universal? And if so, what are the consequences of a universal wavefunction?

When a tenured Prof. feels the need to call you an “incompetent asshole that knows nothing about science” and that your “telling people how to feel” because of a Tweet that somehow went viral.
Pure physics comedy gold. Love it when they punch down 😉
How to solve any differential equation in physics: build up physical intuition through symmetries/dualities, apply clever approximations and identities, and choose your coordinate system wisely.

Bro. Be real. The man submitted a DoD/IG complaint, testified to congress in a SCIF under oath and then to the American people under oath. A few months later the UAPDA was drafted and Chuck Schumer told us “the USG has collected a great deal of data on UAP” on the Senate floor.
I was wrong!

I think this can be done well, in a way that explores the ideas and humanity of the candidates with depth, compassion, and humor, in long-form conversation format.
Probably many other people can be better
The hype is very much needed for the field. More bright minds need to think about this problem. The impact on humanity is potentially immeasurable as it unlocks an entirely new tech tree that will lead to far superior technologies. 2/2
Yes, there are. I’m so tired of all the hatred. The abject failure to empathize with innocent Palestinians and Israelis is disappointing and anathema to peace.
Small molecule oral cancer drug kills 100% of solid tumors across 70 evaluated cancer types in vitro and in animal models with a therapeutic index of 6 and no discernible side effects
Phase 1 trials now underway
So many people seem incredibly pessimistic about the future of humanity. I couldn’t disagree more. Humanity hasn’t even achieved 1% of its full potential.
I believe one day we will master the quantum nature of space and time. And not just in theory, but in practice.
Western medicine is far from perfect, but the last thing it needs is to be "decolonized" and infused with pseudoscientific "other ways of knowing." What medicine needs is to fully commit to evidence-based medicine and have its incentive structures realigned to aid patients.
Instead of engaging in the petty physics Twitter drama, I will dream of the day humanity knows spacetime with the precision required to build tardises.
A lot of people don't appreciate the fact that we are currently in a *very* unique place in physics. The stage where old anomalies aren't going away, and new ones are accumulating.
95% of the stuff in the universe is new physics.
