a wild thing you learn as a parent is that there are zero decongestants that work on kids under ~7. I assumed it was b/c of wild side effects, but no: the ones that work on adults do no work on young kids and modern science somehow can't crack "decongestants for toddlers"

Worth repeating. NYC has implemented a plan to remove 95% of trash bags off the curb (after years of negative coverage) and the local press is focused on: -A few residents in Harlem complaining about ugly bins -$45 This is why nice things don't happen.

An update on lifeguard staffing -- To fully staff all beaches and pools, @NYCParks would like 1,400 LGs Last year they had between 800-900 lifeguards Right now there are 480 lifeguards -- 280 returning, 200 new recruits all still in training (like getting CPR certified)
