an aside from the (imo excellent) points made here, but I wish all my ooh shifts started with no patients in the hinterland between ‘formalised’ and ‘considered but not yet appropriately discussed’ DNACPR. I find it hard to navigate and know that colleagues do too

Today I visited the Care Coordination Centre @MTWnhs Maidstone, where staff use real time data to track bed availability to maximise efficiency. This innovative approach has reduced the time a bed stays empty from nearly three hours to one, reducing waits for patients.

@doctor_oxford I’m certainly not trashing NHS staff - on visits it’s often NHS staff highlighting the waste, inefficiency and case for improvements! The complacency comes from the assumption that money will solve all the problems and that the money is there. If only that were true!
