Wales was conquered by the English monarchy by 1283 after Llywelyn the Last was killed. By 1410 Owain Glyndwr’s “rebel” Welsh forces were defeated and the Penal Laws against Wales made the Welsh second class citizens. And yet, some turn a blind eye to celebrate the same monarchy.

A short speech in Welsh does not make you Welsh. Learning a couple of words like "bara brith" only after being appointed "Prince of Wales" does not make you Welsh. Speaking Welsh is not the definition of being Welsh. Being Welsh is a feeling, a culture, an identity.

Wales missing out on £5 billion on rail infrastructure because HS2 Crewe to London is classed as “England and Wales project”. The Tory sec. of state for Wales seemingly doesn’t care. Imagine the improvements we could’ve had. Welsh funds used in England. This is an outrage.

Lack of knowledge on this is astounding. The National Coal Board initially owned by the UK gov. were responsible for creating tips, therefore the UK gov. should pay to remove them. It’s that simple.

Today is 11th December, the day Llywelyn the last Prince of Wales was killed in 1282. The day changed the course of Welsh history as it came under English rule. The centre of power remains in London, but not for long

Wales is second in Europe for renewable energy share. 59% (2022) of our energy comes from renewables. That’s a remarkable turnaround from being the coal export centre of the world. Wales is an energy powerhouse.

Two age groups now support independence and a third is close to 50:50. Wales could be independent sooner than we think. (Redfield and Wilton poll December 2023, weighted and exc. dk)

Wales is only in the UK because Edward Longshanks invaded and killed Llywelyn in 1282. That’s how out of date this political arrangement is. Even with devolution, were not in a “union”, we’re stuck in an English state. Wales will only reach its potential with independence.

Poem by Gerallt Lloyd Owen in response to Charles’ investiture as a so called “Prince of Wales”, 1969. The poem is still very relevant today (translated). Pictured is the memorial to Llywelyn the Last Prince of Wales, killed in 1282, near Builth Wells.

If you want to change any aspect of governance, politics or society in Wales that is not devolved, you can't do so unless a majority in England agrees with you. That's why Welsh independence is the only way to ensure governance and society as determined by the Welsh people.

Remember the legacy of the Tories. The working Welsh have suffered time and time again. From Churchill to Thatcher, Cameron to Johnson, Truss to Sunak. They don’t care about Wales.

Did you know, the first to use the title Prince of Wales was Owain Gwynedd. Owain shifted from King of Wales to Prince of the Welsh as a move of defiance, rejecting English overlordship, because "Princeps" in Roman law meant the sovereign ruler of an independent country.

! England is about to get 543 MPs ! Scotland has 129 MSPs ! The artificial area of Northern Ireland (not even a country) has *90 MLAs* for a population of only 1.9m With Welsh MPs going down to only 32, Wales desperately needs 96 Members of Senedd to focus on Welsh matters only.

After becoming independent from the UK, Ireland used the Irish pound for ~80 years. It was pegged 1:1 with sterling for the first fifty; then free-floated from 1979; and the euro was used from 1999. Wales could use pound sterling or a pegged Welsh pound like Ireland did.
