Doing 3 sets of an “arm care circuit” immediately after pulling down 15 throws for the 3rd time this week isn’t gonna magically save your shoulder. Having a consistent lifting program will. You can’t undo all that stress just by bouncing a plyo ball off a trampoline

I don’t have an issue with water bags. Just like I don’t have an issue with plyos, weighted balls, or any other tool. What I have a problem with though is people demanding that certain things work. Not every athlete needs the same drill.

As a coach, don’t attach yourself to one certain drill or style of training. One of your athletes might need to lose weight and gain mobility. Another athlete built exactly the same might throw the easiest 95 ever.

Learn to balance both philosophies. Are you throwing hard, pitching well, and staying healthy? Keep doing what you’re doing. Is your velo plateaued? Are you constantly battling nagging injuries? Start playing with new movements and drills and find something that works.

@cstrat2 @clayton_t22 As the original post said, arm care should be a holistic approach. In my opinion, how you warm up and how you manage volume throughout the week/month/year is far more important. Also, I believe that actual exercises for the arm should be mixed in to the athlete’s lift.
