@KarenAttiah Hi Karen, please get lots of rest. More than you think you need. I've had long Covid since March 2020. A fitness instructor so kept pushing myself, kept relapsing. Rest is key. Self-compassion. Sending healing vibes to you!

@shelldash @Freeyourmindkid I have long Covid. I'm in a support group on Facebook that has been literally a life saver for me and many others. There are often people reaching out there for support & receiving lovely emotional support when doctors, family, & friends don't believe what they're experiencing.

@iSmashFizzle It's vocal rest, but requires a lot of mental and emotional energy. If it feels more stressful to leave them then it's worth it to send them off. Otherwise, leave it and do something that brings you a lil joy

@emily_rj @swelteer @KarenAttiah Thanks for sharing this great info! I'm a Pilates instructor, which can be great for recovery when I focus on breathing & stability, less on cardio challenge. I got into that cycle of pushing too hard on my good days and then crashing.

@makeupartist524 I always hated people saying "I'm not contagious" cause htf do you know? Feels like such a terrible excuse for putting someone else at risk. I'm happy to be the change I want to see in the world by wearing a mask and asking others to respect my boundaries.

@airspothealth It's a bnx boat-style n95. It fits me really well and moves with my mouth while teaching without breaking a seal. Some people complain about the nose wire, but it doesn't bother me at all.

@Dakota_150 I had EXTREME thirst for my first 6 months after my 2020 infection. No amount of water or electrolytes changed it. Not dry mouth, just a feeling of insatiable thirst.

@aliahdomino My impression of it as a child represented everything I hated about gender roles before I even knew what they were. The women spent hours and hours cooking, then cleaning up food that I didn't enjoy, while the men yelled at sports and didn't help as much as they should. (My fam)

@AutSciPerson I would love to know this, too! Former dancer whose feet never seemed to form callouses, only blisters. Made pointe dancing a nightmare. I'm seeing a geneticist soon to test for possible connective tissue disorder

@LazarusLong13 Absolutely. I had a cloth mask at the beginning, then medical mask. It wasn't until I traveled to South Korea 9/2020 that I understood the importance of respirators and have been wearing them since. Long COVID since March 2020.

@makeupartist524 I love everything going on here! You look great. Love all these colors. How do you start hydrated during your workday? I'm a Pilates instructor and usually take a risk when I take my mask off to drink. Haven't tried the straw in the mask technique.

@j_k308 I'm a Pilates Instructor. I wear a mask for all in-person sessions. I teach at a studio with air purifiers in each room, and that is proactive about telling people to stay home if they have any symptoms (virtual options). I required masks at the college class I teach.

@poetickate I loved Oakcrest, but also have terrible memories there. We did a sunrise hike and I remember being starving and terrified because we were hiking in the dark & cold. Did not feel safe.

@InUtahNotOfUtah I've felt for a while that the problem is that many people hate themselves, so "love thy neighbor as thyself" is unhelpful until you learn to love and be kind to yourself. Some of us are absolute assholes to ourselves and we pass that right along.

@divergentdawn I wanted to be a professional dancer, but suddenly felt it was a selfish pursuit in my 20s so I stopped. One day I was in the audience and noticed how much joy I felt watching the performance. I realized that I could be part of creating that experience for others as a performer.
