I had a stroke last Sept. I had to pay the costs of the hospital stay, flights, etc upfront and request reimbursement. The travel insurance denied everything & claimed it was a "preexisting condition." I submit to my regular insurer in March and STILL haven't received a response.

I’ve talked about how burned out I became reporting on the pandemic, but I’ve been more private about the serious mental health impact. Basically, my mental health got about as bad as it can get.

I hate using the power of the blue check, but I need to warn others. I flew on @PLAYairlines to Paris on Sept 18/19, during which I had a stroke. • My bag was taken from the overhead bin by someone else and has STILL yet to be returned to me over 2.5 weeks later (1/3)
