@freganmitts I once had success by instructing the students to believe that there was a ravenous lion in the room, and then asking why they weren't running out the door. Was it that they couldn't choose to believe the ravenous lion was there, or that they weren't scared of it?

The year is 2140. ETH is the global currency. Every 12 seconds, someone with lots of ETH gets more ETH. The people with little ETH have to work to earn more ETH; those with a lot of ETH get more for free. The socioeconomic divide has never been worse. Yet.

My DMs are blowing up and I love it. Clearly the Bitcoin Research Institute was an idea whose time had come.

@FrappuccinoSlim @GoodwinMJ Touché. But certain parts of life were better before all the money flowed to like twelve people.

@greenpeaceusa Myth: @greenpeaceusa is campaigning against PoW for purely environmental reasons. Fact: @greenpeaceusa accepted $5 million from the CEO of a crypto token (XRP) who sees #bitcoin as competition because bitcoin is an inclusive, decentralized, censorship-resistant digital currency.

@SenJohnBarrasso Do you think that Presidents should be able to lie about elections and incite violence against Congress and the Vice President with impunity? If not, what do you suggest the penalty should be?

@greenpeaceusa I’m going to install solar panels and subsidize the cost by using the excess energy to mine bitcoin, which will also drive out miners using fossil fuels.

@DigiEconomist The computations secure a network worth $700,000,000,000 that’s censorship-resistant and inclusive and democratic and incorruptible. You may be lucky enough not to need that, but billions of people do. To say it’s “useless” is to treat them as not mattering. They matter.

When an authoritarian regime dislikes something, it's worth looking more closely at that thing.

China’s authoritarian crackdown on crypto, including #Bitcoin , is a big opportunity for the U.S. It’s also a reminder of our huge structural advantage over China.

Imagine hating #Bitcoin /crypto so much that you ignore the desires of billions of people around the world who are financially and politically much worse off than you, and you lecture everyone about how Bitcoin doesn't do what they're literally already using it to do.

@greenpeaceusa The fact that you haven't hired anyone to change the code is proof that you don't care enough about the code being changed. Bitcoin is open source. Copy and paste the code, change the parts you don't like, and release it. Mission accomplished!

I will not be tweeting about $MSTR or Bitcoin ETFs. I have no professional opinion about them, except the obvious — they are not resistance money. Bitcoin is professionally (ie philosophically) interesting because it’s resistance money. So, I’ll keep tweeting about bitcoin.
