The occupation isn't going to be ended by the "Israeli left", just like apartheid in South Africa wasn't ended by a sudden revival of its white Labour Party. It'll be ended by pro-occupation figures fearing state collapse and seeking a deal to stave off total breakdown

The stronger the anti-occupation Israeli left & Palestinian anti-Hamas left, the greater the likelihood of the just peace emerging that the Western left wants to see. Every time a western Hamasnik pops up, they instead strengthen the enemies of this heroic, brave I/P left.

Going to defend cringe Instagram posts by saying it is an unambiguous good for the Palestinian cause to be seen as trendy & virtuous. People used to, and in some cases still, get censored and blacklisted for supporting Palestine & posts like this are a sign of growing solidarity

Labour could easily win back these voters in government by implementing an arms embargo on Israel and recognising the state of Palestine. They won't do this because they prioritise following Washington's lead above all else, but let's not pretend it's unachievable
