@DrNickTwit Agreed. ARCP treats us like schoolkids well into our 20s/30s/40s. The requirements are often not well known by the ES. It can feel like a boxticking exercise where even if you tick all the right boxes it’s wrong. Thoughtless feedback by one Cons can have a big effect.

@GeorgePointon_ A patient today told me that last week he went trampolining for his birthday. He bounced into the wall w his head, his nose, & his mouth. There wasn’t much blood & no teeth fell out properly. It was “the best day of the world”. That’s my advice, bounce face first into the walls.

Neonatal eye screening is vital to prevent permanent visual impairment. Cataracts can develop after birth, but 50% of congenital cataracts are missed at screening. Earlier intervention is associated with improved outcome. This means delaying GP checks beyond 6 weeks is risky.

Couldn’t agree more. No amount of well-being, yoga, & positivity balances out the short staffed rotas, the lack of admin time, the routinely being paid incorrectly, the issues around parking/rest/food availability, the hassles that come w changing job every 6/12 for a decade.
