Here is what makes electricity prices so nuts. At current prices my $100k solar array (installed and commissioned) will make $120k of electricity per year! Mind boggling
How do we reduce coal being burnt at Huntly? Solar on our homes, businesses and particularly our farms is a massive opportunity! Now’s the time to streamline it
This morning I was invited by the Green Party to share my journey with eliminating fossil fuels on farm! Look who was there to hear me out.
@_chloeswarbrick
Farmers are good people. People who care about the climate are good people. People who tear shreds off each other are not behaving like good people. Take a moment to understand each other
We are going to need more electricity but way less energy as we electrify everything. Electrification is efficiency and an efficient economy is a prosperous one.
New report launching today! There is a massive economic benefits of electrifying all households. $29 million per day or $19.7 billion a year saved by NZ households.
We now have 341 people registered for the live stream!
Register here first 5:30 tonight
The 1990 Hilux is off to Dunedin to get its battery pack installed! Best to leave high voltage stuff to the experts I reckon. Hopefully we get it certified down there and can drive it back to Crommers!
Wow so
@NexusOfficial
just launched their mobile wallet. It took 2 mins to sync on my phone and then you can simply login using a completely decentralised login system called a signature chain. Or create a fresh wallet and start transacting.
@alicesoapbox
You are not wrong. It’s been a real challenge to come back to NZ/A after 12 years and adapt to the large adoption of Te Reo. I think it’s awesome and I’m trying hard, it’s tough to rewire the brain though. 12 years of adoption in one go!
It’s now in our financial best interests to electrify our homes. We have reached the tipping point. Our report is due out tomorrow and it’s going to help kiwi households save $1000s a year on energy. Register here to be sent a copy when embargo lifts.
@cryptocoley
hi Catherine!
@NexusOfficial
is already on
@binance
and is not a security/ico, has active development and community and launching a massive upgrade in a couple of months. We would be super grateful if you extended your coin set to include us on
@BinanceAmerica
:)🙏
Big love to my farming mates on here. Not sure there is much I can do but I’m here if you need me. There is a storm coming and all of rural NZ is going to need to weather it together.
Let’s talk the incredible opportunity batteries in NZ homes and on farms offer our energy system and what is needed to make it happen! Make the market fair!
@himi_nehua
Yeah man. I graduated in 01 and this was pretty standard. Homophobia was rife as was the “passport” chant as well as misogyny and I’m afraid to say I contributed to this as did the majority of my peers. I hope the young men there now have experienced a drastic culture change
Driving the future of farming. Electric tractors will have a huge impact on NZs food emissions because our grid is highly renewable. We are importing what should be NZs first in early 2023
Hey Wellington, why do I need to pay $10 for a snapper card which works just like a debit card but only for public transport. Better still why can I use cash but not my debit card instead? Why is this so over engineered for no obvious reason?
The good folks at
@mainfreight
just leant us their electric truck for harvest! Grow, pick, transport, grade and packing is all fully electric. And if you are a local customer we can get them to you fully electric too. ⚡️🍒
Three supportive politicians from three different political parties came to farm to launch our
@MonarchTractor
! Goes to show electrification is something we can all largely agree in! Thanks gentlemen :) and thanks
@BrookingRachel
for being the first politician to notice us!
@himi_nehua
It took me many years to adjust to what I hope most would consider to be an equitable and fair belief system but I’m certain I still have my flaws. Watching the Inbetweeners - that was totally what it was like
1 tonne of cherries shipped today to 395 customers around NZ!! Still got two shipping dates left in January if you want some ⚡️ 🍒 goodness to start 2024.
@HicksKiwi
I’m not in a flood zone nor attempting to float solar panels on water. We’ve had solar on our shed roof for 6 years and no damage. We get our fair share of hail too. Just got to get the job done right, shitty installs are a concern for sure
@uriohau
It’s really sad. I hope history will see her as a true ground breaker for Māori in parliament. This really is NZs moment in history to be better
Im just stunned by the wholesale rate of power. My new install costs me about 4c per kWh and the price of electricity on the wholesale market is above 80c for most of the day. The ROI on solar, exported at the wholesale rate is quite frankly remarkable.

@adam3us
@NexusOfficial
has built our own dB to replace Berkeley, wrote our own low level protocol and are about to entirely replace UTXO and integrate multicasting (LISP) with its Tritium upgrade in September. Quantum resistance too. You keen to code review?
@JBTheCryptoKing
$nxs for sure. Been around 5 years and about to launch a major protocol upgrade. Instead if increasing
#blocksize
, we just built a protocol that allows 32k transactions in a 2MB block
@NexusOfficial
@ChicoCrypto
I watched your recent video on Fantom as wondering if you’d be keen to have a chat about
@NexusOfficial
upcoming tritium release and whether our project meets your standards?
Nexus is proud to announce the next evolution of blockchain scalability, integration, and usability.
The Tritium Whitepaper is here, our blueprint to the future.
@NexusOfficial
@APompliano
in September there will no longer be a need for file backups and hardware wallets will be yesterdays news. With Nexus it will be as easy as online banking
Went along to see my Dad compete with the other candidates for the Wairarapa seat. Dads representing Act and is definitely performing well for a first time candidate! I’m a very proud son.
I admire Adern greatly. She took on that job with bravery, resilience and had serous charisma and lead us through a pandemic, White Island and a mass shooting. Credit where credit is due despite the politics. I hope she achieves great things post PM
@AuntyFeeble
This is just a terrible way to think. I don’t care if those people suffering are religious conservatives, unionists, socialists or anywhere inbetween. They are suffering and deserve our nations compassion whether I align with their beliefs or not.
@NexusOfficial
@crypt0snews
hoping you will begin to notice just how much code and thought has gone into $nxs and it’s upcoming mainnet launch of the Tritium protocol
@NexusOfficial
@adam3us
as you can see with us replacing UTXO there is no need for a wallet.dat. You can simply login to a node anywhere, anytime. We believe this will drive user adoption
The problem with pricing methane is that the only real way to reduce it is to downsize farming. Is that what we want? I’d much rather see investment in technology to solve for this. Methane is only an issue because we made the climate an issue but burning too much fossil fuels
@solar_chase
It’s hard to squeeze all the nuance into a tweet but we 100% agree. The market is absurd atm and will settle, but right now th oh s solar array is clawing back initial investment very very quickly.
@NexusOfficial
@PeterMcCormack
I know you are not too interested in alt projects but this combined with Lisp multicasting so nodes no longer need IP addresses and use EIDs instead is pretty powerful
@NexusOfficial
@kevinsekniqi
1/ I know this is relevant to your tweets the other day but we’d love you to code review! We “pass around” full transaction but only store hash on block to price immutability of rest of data.
After a nervy start I walked off stage pretty chuffed with how this went! Biggest platform we have had yet and I have a lot of gratitude for Kaila and the team for trusting me with their delegates

SPEAKER HIGHLIGHT: NZ Zero CEO
@mikecasey
created likely the world's first 100% zero fossil-fuel orchard. Today, he walked us through the reality of what worked, what didn't, how much it all cost, and whether it was worthwhile.

Got to be apart of KPMGs opening breakfast for Field Days. Great to be able to share our vision with government and industry. I was really nervous but
@juliajones110
beaming smile from the front row had the perfect calming effect.
