I remember some radiologists asking for my GMC number and asking me to type on the request “I take responsibility if contrast causes AKI” as a F2, to get a contrast CT scan done. It’s taken a long time despite the evidence being there for years.

Today I visited the Care Coordination Centre @MTWnhs Maidstone, where staff use real time data to track bed availability to maximise efficiency. This innovative approach has reduced the time a bed stays empty from nearly three hours to one, reducing waits for patients.

The @AAGBI survey on #enhancedcare is an important and poignant one. It makes me sad that a lot of new generation Anaesthetists will CCT and get no recognition for the time spent on the ICM on call Rota. Enhanced care will be difficult to govern and team dynamics hard to manage.

I hope people remember scenes like this, when it comes to voting. There are a lot of water companies who have a big say in government workings, via donations or by offering ‘clerical support’ They stink as much as their sewage. Corruption, as a word doesn’t even do it justice

The #SarahEverard news is awful and tragic, my ♥️ goes out to her loved ones. I hope the public response would have been the same if she was from a different country/skin colour/creed less respectful profession/ background 1/2
