Most days we go to CrossFit. There's an open gym at 7am and I set up an obstacle course in the corner. Sandbag carries, box jumps, rope climbs, bar hangs, and more. Whatever looks fun to him, we do together.

Unpopular opinion. Working from home makes you a worse parent (for young kids). Kids don't understand boundaries. Reality is a parent disappears into a room and they're not allowed to disturb him or her. Better to be gone for work in order to be fully present at home.

I learned about DLP when I was a camp counselor. It's a way of giving specific feedback that reveals a character trait instead of vague "good job" or "that's wrong." Instead, label the action as brave, selfless, kind, and so on.
