Confirmed, I am Covid positive (day 11 intense chest pain), leading our school from a distance (closed the school on my first day), had emotional discussions with staff, and from tomorrow I need to add supporting my daughter’s remote learning to the mix. If I can get through this

Dropped my son off at Uni today - he is back for his final year after a gap year. I don’t know what I’ll do without him now he has been back home over a yr. Going to miss talking music, sport, Netflix shows,&society issues. And he is brill at helping me with tech. 😰 #motherson ❤️

On target, have swam everyday plus attended 3 body combat classes and one Zumba. I have drawn up a tight timetable m to ensure I keep this up when I rtn to work tomorrow. Going to attend 6:30am HIIT class and a 20min swim before work. Let’s see how I get on. 🏊🙏🏻👍🏻

Where I’ve been since Boxing Day. I’m waiting for my Covid test result. My body aches 😩. No fever, the opposite, I’m shaking from being desperately cold. Taking both paracetamol and Nurofen and still feel pain 😩 Better soon I hope...such bad timing I’ve got so much to do. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Newheadteacher I think testing us weekly, like care home and NHS staff, would be very useful. Having the children back has been wonderful - we really want to stay open but there are lots of challenges. I’m sure the Government will make changes as they want us open too. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Waiting game! 🥴

@CensoredHead Have said the same. I can’t make redundancies as we are short staff already. Have said to SBM I’ll submit the deficit budget…we submitted a 3 yr budget with no deficit in Apr. This is central government’s decision - they have to own it. Not going to lose sleep at all.

A kindness story. My daughter has SLD including Dyslexia and is now on an ADHD pathway assessment. She had epilepsy during early life, it is believed the seizures may have impacted her this way. @MissSharp2020 , who is proud of her super power, bought these to share with her. ❤️🙏🏻

I have never held a grudge - I’m constantly critiqued for this. Some consider me gullible and say that I don’t set boundaries. I believe in greater forces who manage the wrongs in the world. Don’t get me wrong I will disconnect if I need to but I won’t show hate. That’s not me.

@SholaMos1 Reminds me of Cyntoia Brown’s case (Murder to Mercy - Netflix’s). Virginia G needs her legal team. They stressed over and over that a CHILD cannot be blamed for these acts. To think there are men defending this claim who are FATHERS to daughters 🤦🏻‍♀️😡.

Fantastic day today! First FGB meeting today. Great supportive governors. Great end of term staff meeting with such a great staff body. Seriously love our school and my job ❤️. It’s certainly challenging times in schools but we’ve got great peeps around.

The the death of HT colleague, shortly after an inspection, has hit the us hard. We don’t know all the circumstances but what all HTs do know is the immense pressure felt prior to inspection. We are not saying ‘no’ to accountability but a reform esp on how information is shared.

Had the most enjoyable week. The highlight was annual school trip to the beach. We had such an amazing time. Today - non stop! Nursery Graduation Sports day achievement assembly Yr6 Vs Teachers football match Yr6 class party (signing items) Love my job!! That’s it all

@GillianKeegan @RishiSunak What about children with EHCPs whose funding is due to be cut. Will they be excluded from the plan? Also only one child said extra Maths. Further consultation worth having as we would hate to make attendance worse. Thanks Gillian.
