Aussie club again losing out to a ridiculously low buyout clause (think R McGree to Brugge). To be fair, BRFC agreed to it with Taggart. Solution?? Remove cap. Introduce domestic transfer rules akin to global norms. Expose admin to reality of day-to-day transfer market.

FIFA has issued Circular 1645 which sets out recent amendments to: (i) the FIFA Statutes passed by the FIFA Congress; and (ii) FIFA Code of Ethics passed by the FIFA Council. Major changes to the ethics offences and procedure before Ethics Committee.

To date, 3 FAs have done same, to enable registrations for loan returnees or new signings unable to be delayed in accordance with FIFA guidelines. At present, 16 FAs have utilised COVID-19 rules to have 3 windows (incl 1 day "window"). Data available on .

Bundesliga has unveiled its summer transfer window - with a genius twist. Window opens on July 1 for new registrations and close same day. Re-opens on July 15 through to October 5. Why? Window can be open 12 weeks max. So opens for one day, then 11 weeks and 6 days.

FIFA has issued Circular 1628 which describes major changes to how the FIFA Disciplinary Committee will treat cases of non-compliance by CLUBS with decisions of CAS, FIFA DRC, or FIFA PSC. Onus is now shifted to national associations to automatically enforce sporting sacntions.

For evidentiary reasons, the CAS has overturned bans imposed on 28 Russian athletes by the IOC. 11 Russian athletes have their appeals partially upheld. Huge #sportslaw news! Should go a long way in fixing perception re independence of CAS from the IOC and WADA.
