Nice touch from the

fans on this train from Birmingham to Shrewsbury for encouraging people to take part in two minutes of silence. Beautifully observed by everyone in the carriage. We will remember them 🇬🇧
Since the takeover I have to say that Carlisle United must be the team most gracious in defeat that we've played. From the fans, to the manager and the media team. Also bringing 475 fans down. Well and truly hope they have success in their promotion push this season

bottom of the EFL. Still taking over 1100 to an away day. 150 mile round trip by road. 4 hours round trip by train. The commitment is immense. Sure there's bigger distances to go for awaydays but credit to
@BradGalinson
@Checkfish
& co and the hope they've given us...
For want of those who aren't in the Gills Discussion Forum for whatever reason, Brad has just posted this in response to the allegation posted earlier that Scally is still "in control" & is blocking Macca's contract renewal

Nothing to worry about if you ask me👍
Some extremely short memories on offer today
#gills
- nice to see people have already turned on perhaps the best owners we could’ve asked for, without whom we’d probably be away at Woking today rather than Walsall

Lithuania does it well. Drive with a sticker of a green leaf on the back of your car if you’ve got less than 2 years driving experience. Drivers naturally give you more space and time on the road.
Speed limit on the motorway is 110km/h vice 130km/h.
Sat in a Milanese taxi. Taxi driver was an Inter fan with a soft spot for Marseille.
“What’s your club?” he asks
“Gillingham”
“OH, TONY CASCARINO!”
Universal language
My taxi driver didn't speak much English but seemed to love English football, so we were just bombing along whilst he named English teams and random players and I nodded or shook my head.
Probably in my top 10 conversations.
Love reading about just how many people
@BradGalinson
has rattled with his sleeping giant comment. What makes a giant? Are BHA giants because they’ve got Mac Allister in their team and they’re smashing it in the prem now? Other people just seem to be jealous we have ambition now.
Not sure why we don’t open the Town End to home fans for £5 and spread the word everywhere when we know we’ll have very few away fans
#gills
- we seem much better attacking facing our own fans this season
One thing I’ve noticed since the takeover is that the turnstile staff now greet you, wish you a good game, ask how you are. Makes that little bit of difference. Good going

Chats currently undefeated in the Isthmian Premier. 5 wins from 5 having thrashed Dulwich Hamlet 5-2 today at Champion Hill. I would love to be seeing them in the National League South next season.
American “soccer” twitter has discovered the footage of the last 10 minutes of our game from last night and according to them it’s proof of why the MLS is more “exciting” without promotion/relegation 🤣🤣🤣

This might be the most atrocious take I’ve seen on Gills twitter all week which is hard to achieve.
When those lucky enough to have seen Taylor play die, who’ll be supporting?
How miserable must you be to moan about a photo of kit? What difference does it make to you? Move on.
#Gills
Twitter is absolute shit these days. Too many people interested in tagging the Galinson’s. Boring/pointless photos of kits and ticket purchases. Kids too young to remember Bob Taylor. Stupid pricks. No thanks.
Really don’t understand why people are so up in arms about us fielding a youth team for a kent cup game. We’ve always done it and there’s no point in doing anything else.
As am I pretty pissed off about people giving them stick for not matching a semi-pro adult outfit… come on
Saw someone else say it and thought I should as well. Samuel Barrott was very good in officiating the match today and deserves credit for it. No cards needed to be issued, can't think of any call he got badly wrong. We criticise them enough but never seem to praise.

I noticed the Grimsby mascot also took a couple of penalties against a young Gills fan (and vice versa) which I thought was a nice thing to do.
Hardly the club’s fault. Luton decide the allocations and Kenilworth Road has a smaller capacity than Priestfield
STH’s were limited to one each and they managed to sell 900 of those leaving just 150 on general sale which unfortunately means plenty of people losing out

Never change Gills fans... jump to conclusions accusing your own squad of "youthful showing off to mates"... probably because you're jealous of his nice German car which is now a write off anyway and has 6x the horsepower of your own shitbox? For fuck's sake, get a grip.
As I expected, Accrington would be a very hard side to break down and score against and they proved that today. To win against them by any scoreline is a great result. On to Sutton and Crawley

Police investigating the incident involving David Livermore at full time… really really no reason for any sort of violence given the video messages the club keep posting on social platforms

He tends to be front and centre of a lot of images where you wouldn’t really think it was appropriate for him to be the one front and centre
i.e. shaking opposing manager’s hands before Howe can at the full time whistle
Fucking hell, never would I have thought people are accusing me of getting the manager sacked through the stats I posted then others claiming credit for it as if it’s something to be proud of. Never change, Gills Facebook…
Great to see that Brad is really confident in the staff within the club at present to the extent that he’s able to recruit internally rather than look for external talent
Will also put the rumour mill to rest
Most importantly best of luck to Joe in his new role

Wrexham 10/11

Sky Bet's forecast before the window opens, not bad I suppose given Wrexham coming up, and Clough signing a new contract at Mansfield!

😂😂😂😂
We don’t give a toss, just tell us it’s done and Galinson’s in. Up the yanks 🇺🇸
@TheGillsFC
Still a point against a team in contention for playoffs, against whom we’ve scored 3. Not bad, but I think we really should’ve come out of that with 3 points.
What is clear is that we have now become a really capable side and if we keep this run going, we may end up mid table
The

have conceded 49 goals in League Two this season. But only 19 of those goals conceded have come in 2023…
Assuming we were only to concede 38 all season, only Orient (34) and Stockport (37) would beat it.
The signing of Masterson can’t be understated. A real coup
It’s midnight and I’m finally home. Won’t be doing Barrow next season I don’t think 😂 in the mean time I’ve got Northampton and Salford booked to look forward to…

@officialcufc
Given the cost of living crisis and your distance from us, to bring 475 down even on a Saturday afternoon is an immense effort regardless of where you are in the table.
Have a safe journey home 👍
Puts into perspective how lucky we are, with Brad and Shannon recognising they're custodians of a community asset - while reckless owners like Chansiri, pompous enough to have his name plastered everywhere at Hillsborough, is petulant enough to stopfunding because his ego's hurt.
What a surprise, the Wrexham circus begins. And then they wonder why dodgy fire sticks are so rife. Perhaps I’ll cancel my sky sports subscription after this 🥱

Unfortunately it is true. Medium pepperoni pizza for about £22. I went to Lombardy last weekend and had a bigger pizza in a traditional restaurant for about £7.

They charge you extra for the drink but you’ll get that money back for returning it. Drinks tend to be cheaper everywhere in Germany anyway, Austria not so much - can buy a bottle of Pepsi max for about 80p, deposit included, and then the return for recycling is about 15p
Thought Charlton didn't care about us, now they're dreaming about a 90th minute winner in a preseason friendly? 🤣

Failed to score a single goal in 45% of games.

We were heading down the table with Harris. Ever since his appointment we’ve averaged a goal scoring rate which equates to 37 goals a season. All promoted sides last season scored more than 60.
Harris’ gameplay was all about scoring first then not conceding.
