Being in an offside position is not an offence in itself, once Bowen makes that initial movement towards the ball in doing so challenging an opponent coming from an offside position, he then becomes involved in active play and therefore should be given offside

It is evident to me that the inconsistency of the VAR operation is spoiling fans enjoyment. The criteria of ‘Clear and Obvious’ is at the route of the problem. The theme appears to be ‘How can we strike out a goal’ rather than how can we allow it to stand.

Law 12 H/B irrespective of where arm/hand is positioned doesn’t necessarily mean an offence has been committed there has to be a deliberate movement of arm/hand towards the ball, imo VAR should have never got involved,referee has to be strong and stick with his original decision

My talented lad has today hung up his whistle after just 6 yrs as a ref, having seen the lack of respect shown to him from supposed 'top' coaches, players, parents I totally understand why he has felt its just not worth the hassle anymore. Proud of you my son 👏
