This AM, in front of an immigration judge, I was asked how long I’ve known my dad was undocumented. My answer: For as long as I can remember. After grueling years of uncertainty & fear, my dad has been granted permanent residency in the USA. 🥰 Tonight, I breathe a bit easier.

A majority (60%+) of teachers will make >$90K a year. 75% of K-5 classrooms have 25 students or less. Meeting all of PAT’s demands is not a matter of being unwilling, it is being fiscally unable to. How could PPS pay the $200m+ additional ask? (Oh, and admin makes up $60m).

For most in Portland, these federal offices have become rallying points for progressive, mostly White protestors. This AM, for my immigrant dad, this building stands as symbol of fear/discomfort...but also hope...hope that he will finally be visible in 🇺🇸, & out of the shadows.
