Most people harmed by #ihopkc were not harmed by #mikebickle or Misty Edwards directly. They were harmed by those underneath them who reinforced the toxic culture. Yet these will mostly go free without having to pay for their actions whatsoever. These names need to be named also.

Mark Slezinger was the man whose wife cheated on him allegedly with both #MikeBickle and eventually passed to #LukeBickle . He was spoken about at length on the AG YouTube channel: . I did not know Mark but he always seemed like a kind soul to me at #ihopkc .

What hurt(s) many people much worse than #IHOPKC than its leaders was the community itself. Minimizing, policing, toning down, softening, being passive, staying silent, toxic positivity etc. all of these behaviors constitutes community betrayal, personal betrayal, a 2nd trauma

Mike actually had to tell staff at one point not to go to the state for assistance because it was happening often. I actually did myself once and when I talked to the case worker about where I worked they said “oh we get people from there all the time”. #ihopkc #mikebickle

I was friends with the 5 and lived with the leader. I was in many strategy sessions. This was the last of exhausting effort after innumerable attempts to get leaders to pay attention. For Mike it was the first meeting, but we knew it was going to likely be the last. #ihopkc
