@reachjulieroys This is yet another reminder that there is no context where a pastor should still be leading a church into their 80's. This man is clearly well into senility and needs to be removed immediately for his own wellbeing and the wellbeing of his church.

In a litigious society, the church should be radically and counter-culturally committed to openness, transparency, and honesty. We should not be known for our secrecy, legal machinations, or clever image protection. 4/ 7

This can be devastating for those who have been deeply hurt and wish to confide in friends and family. There is a fear that any honesty about the situation could result in legal consequences. This is not the way of Jesus. 2/7

It is unfortunate that this needs to be said, but the church of Jesus Christ is not a corporation and thus is not bound to conform to the "best practices" of the business world. Lawyers will always advise churches to protect image, brand, and assets. That's their job. 5/7

@tisaiahcho This is true in a very misleading sense. The truer statement would be: “the unborn are a convenient group of people to eliminate. They don’t cry, don’t resist, and there is no legal penalty for wiping them out.”

Kevin Prosch: "restored" in 2002 - didn't change. Todd Bentley: "restored" in 2009 - didn't change. Why? Because the"restoration" was not centered around victims. When Zacchaeus repented he said: "if I have cheated anybody...I will pay back four times the amount.” #ihopkc

@kvministries Kris, respectfully I just feel like this is not what is needed given what's unfolding right now. The Body has watched the victimizers get "restored" time and time again w/o repentance while the victims were ignored. Until we correct that imbalance, this narrative feels empty.

There are many talented, faithful singers/musicians/worship leaders @ihopkc In the wake of this tragedy many will lose their income and be spiritually "homeless." If you are a pastor and are looking to hire, keep them in mind. They are amazing people who love the Lord.

I don’t want to be the person that just criticizes when leaders are silent. I want to celebrate when leaders I admire do speak out. Lee has spoken out clearly and consistently. He has also counseled many (myself included) behind closed doors. Thank you, Lee. #ihopkc

Perhaps one of the biggest problems in the Church is we don’t understand the difference between restoration to the Lord personally and restoration to ministry positionally. You might get right with God but that doesn’t mean you get back on the platform.

What each and every person impacted by the "prayer movement" needs is the "boring," mundane rhythms of a healthy local community that is submitted to the scriptures, nourished by the Lord's Table, and empowered to live the Gospel. 6/8

One of the strengths of Eucharist-heavy traditions is that the "main character" of every service is the bread and wine. Meaning that when priests/leaders fall it is still painful and horrific, but not catastrophic. 🧵 1/8

What's the lesson? Run from pastors who take pains to emphasize that their church is not a "normal" church, that it has a "unique mandate," that it is built for "greater things." The primary calling of the church has not and will not change. And that's good and beautiful. 7/7

Enlow may not be guilty of SA like Mike Bickle, but his prophetic manipulation is similar. Notice that when he got his Trump prophecy completely wrong he defects and blames those "bashing and demanding apologies" and redirects to fasting and prayer. Sound familiar? #ihopkc 1/

@RichFMatt @LouEngle I'm really tired of men in ministry showing me who they are lately. Maybe if we could just have a hiatus, please? No word on Mike from Lou. At least we know why now. Too busy fighting the end time female rebellion. Unreal.

God is the God of reality. He is not the God of our carefully-woven fantasies that cover darkness and whitewash complexity. I just want to be honest about the reality of Branham/Cain/Jones/Zinzendorf/and on and on. No more lies. No more "covering." Truth. 10/

It saddens me to have to repost this, but we are where we are. I take no joy in thinking about the hundreds of faithful IHOPKC folks who will eventually have to face how their leaders have utterly forfeited all integrity in this process. 3-4 months in and no repentance. #ihopkc

I feel that the truth is important, so here is a thread from @stephanie_ruppe , daughter of John Wimber, addressing a widespread rumor (one that I heard from multiple "sources") that her dad "regretted" separating the Vineyard from the Toronto Blessing and the KC Prophets. 1/6

@Jedidiahhartley Thank you for this, @Jedidiahhartley . I'm so sorry that you, your mom, and your siblings had to carry this for so long. I hope you sense a profound peace knowing that others are backing you in this.

@realprophetguy I think Misty’s biggest mistake was attacking the Jane Doe’s and platforming the “Not Jane Does.” She could have tried to stay totally out but she initiated the process of making public statements. I get that she was terrified, but to attack other victims is not the way…
