After having ridden over a 100,000 miles on bicycles they finally got me. Hit by a car in a roundabout. It was violent and scary AF. I’m lucky to be alive with only a fractured vertebrae. If I was smart I would just stop but I’m an idiot and I love cycling so I’ll ride again.

At 86th and the Monon there are four temporary bollards remaining of the 13 installed. In only two weeks. We need permanent bump outs and bollards until a bridge can be funded but doubtful that will happen in this city.

Saw three other bike commuters in the 21 degree weather on the ride in today. I’ve been cycling to work for 18 years now and the increase in bike commuting I’ve seen in that time is very encouraging. We must make it safer to grow it further. It can be done if we commit to it.

@IndyPedCrisis @IndyDPW Not just Monon, but ALL greenways should be cleared if they are to serve as connectivity for people. The Indianapolis Cultural Trail is cleared. Greenways in other counties next to Indy get cleared. All while Indy has dedicated staff and equipment that is not being used.

Kia is honking at the truck trying to coax him to go into the intersection which would have blocked cars waiting on Winthrop when the light changed. Driver in truck held his ground and then gets out in the rain to discuss it. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
