Heads up, trail users! Crews will be out on the Pennsy and Monon Trails preparing intersections for bollard installation. Traffic barrels will be placed at intersections where crews are coring to place foundations. New bollards will begin to be placed over the next two weeks.

West-siders rejoice! 🥳 The 16th St bridge over Little Eagle Creek is now completely open to traffic! The $2.15M project (under partial closure since May) replaced the 70+ year-old bridge structure, widening sidewalk and resurfacing travel lanes. @IndyMayorJoe @IMS

A little warm furry for your weekend 🐾 #TeamDPW and Indy Animal Care & Control worked together on an after-hours call to rescue a kitten trapped in a storm pipe. After 5.5 hours, the kitten was rescued and transported to Indy ACC for assessment. Way to go, team! #Caturday 🐈‍⬛

We just announced a huge investment in trails! In the third round of the Next Level Trails Grant Program, we are awarding a total of $65 million to 38 communities and nonprofit organizations for 77 miles of new trail development.

Since our 2020 strip-patching kick off on March 5th, 45 lane miles of road have been strip-patched around the city using 1,089 tons of hot mix asphalt, and we're not done yet!
