The Washington Township School Board and the Washington Township Education Association voted unanimously today in a joint resolution to oppose Indiana House Bill 1134. Please see the formal resolution below.
The WT school community has a very heavy heart today. Earlier this afternoon we lost a champion, North Central High School Athletic Director Paul Loggan. Our thoughts and support continue to be with his wife and children during this difficult time.
After continued assessment of road conditions and lack of streets being plowed in Washington Township schools will move to a full school closure on Friday, February 1, 2019. This is a change from the previous two hour delay announcement. All WT schools are closed on February 1

Thursday January 31, 2019 Washington Township Schools will be on a 2 hour delay and all schools will dismiss at regular times. The early release day planned for January 31 has been cancelled and will be rescheduled to a later date.

We are excited to announce Dr. Crystal Thorpe as our new Director of Teaching and Learning for Grades 6-8. Dr. Thorpe’s appointment was approved during last night’s WT Board of Education meeting and will be effective starting in the 2024-25 school year.
