hey so if you’re free in the Seattle area at about 6:40 tonight, you can join myself and several other transit enthusiasts in riding the last ever Community Transit commuter bus out of Seattle (424 notwithstanding)
@StandUserLeon
even better: give students subsidized transit passes and have the agencies run dedicated routes to middle and high schools to take pressure off districts

They double as banks and meeting spaces so I’m guessing they wanted to make banking more enjoyable, and to squeeze just a bit more revenue from their spaces

CP stands for “child pornography”. Boku no Pico depicts multiple children having sex with adults. Even though I’m 99% sure all involved in the making were adults at the time, I’m still classifying it under CP. If it looks, walks, and talks like a child, it’s a child. Full stop.

RCW 9.91.25:
“ (1) A person is guilty of unlawful transit conduct if, while on or in a transit vehicle or in or at a transit station, he or she knowingly:
(l) Possesses an unissued transfer or fare media or tenders an unissued transfer or fare media as proof of fare payment”
holy hell someone actually did it. they proved it was possible to cross the entirety of the west coast using only local public transit. (seriously read through this thread; it’s amazing)
@ilovearlingtonv
if you want to have your own personalized brick, they’re only 46 cents at your local Home Depot! (I might be carrying one in my bag at all times)
because crossing brick 1 died in an unfortunate about-to-miss-the-bus incident earlier this month, i had to go and purchase crossing brick 2: vancouver boogaloo for 97 Canadian cents
“OI BRUV WHERE ARE YA YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE AGES AGO”
“IM AT SHORELINE STATION, WHERE YOU ASKED ME TO GO AND I CANT FIND YA ANYWHERE”
“WHICH ONE”
that won’t cause any problems in the future surely
@milesintransit1
with the exception of one segment where you need an Uber, it is possible to go from the Canadian border to the Mexican border via only local buses.
If you’ve been eagerly awaiting light rail’s arrival to Snohomish County later this year, the wait is almost over...
The Link 1 Line extension is set to welcome passengers aboard on Friday, Aug. 30!

1: “If you build it, they will come.” - Common saying
2: Highway interchanges cost many times more than light rail, and the taxpayer is burdened with upkeep because they’re expected to be free
3: Vancouver’s SkyTrain would like a word.
4: ST’s budget crisis isn’t their fault.
Key things to know about light rail.
1) Ineffective unless built in dense areas.
2) Extremely expensive & inflexible.
3) Light rail = light capacity.

is 3x over budget. There's a better way. Go to

out of all the infrastructure mistakes sound transit has made, the one i see talked about the least is that the T line is only single-tracked between Union Station and Tacoma Dome
In Washington State, anyone under the age of 19 can go anywhere in the state for free using public transit. This has helped grow me as a person when the policy was active, allowing me to experience parts of WA that I never thought would experience.
psa: if there’s an incident like the one last night, at least show sone empathy to those involved, and shove your opinions of the vehicles aside! not doing so will make you sound horrible.

The Starter Line (the thing being tested right now) is opening this Spring. (March 23 is the earliest possible day)
The entire line is opening 2026.
so I am at Redmond Technology recording a segment for the 2-Line video (yes it’s still being worked on, production is a pain rn) and noticed the Microsoft visitors center was open. As the saying goes, when in Rome…
You can't say we didn't warn you...🧵

…How are we supposed to boycott SIEMENS when they’re the some of the only folks allowed to make rail vehicles in America?
Are you a transit fan going to Lynnwood Link? Do you want to meet like-minded people from inside and outside of the region? If so, then the PNW Transit Fans are hosting a meetup at Lynnwood City Center station on 8/30 at 4:00 PM! More info is available at
good morning from Eastgate P&R! since a little birdie told me that the Proterras have been retired from Metro’s fleet, I’ve come to the realization that the dedicated fast chargers at Eastgate will now sit abandoned. this is the only relic of Metro’s Proterra experiment.

hey Edmonds, now that you’ve got the most transit you’ve gotten since at least the recession, then maaaaybe you should start desiring around the ferry terminal
What’s baffling about the 513 is that they never implemented bidirectional service on it during this change, since Seaway TC is LITERALLY AT THE BOEING FACTORY, yet the route is oriented AWAY FROM IT during the peaks.
Riding every bus that will be changed in routing this September
Route 513 is getting the 512 treatment as expected. In fact, many people have already switched over judging by the low ridership which is nice.
it’s great that we have so many agencies around Seattle supported by
@transitapp
, but it looks like they forgot that
@Island_Transit
doesn’t just serve Coupeville…
